Raise a glass to summer’s hottest (and coldest) trend and our latest crush: frozen fizzy cocktails

There are few things that give me more joy in the sultry summer months than an ice lolly and a cold glass of fizz – so I’m giving thanks to the drinks deities for a trend that combines the two. Say hello to your new summer saviour: the frozen lolly prosecco cocktail. While it might look like a frosty treat the kids would enjoy, these spirit-laced fruit pops topped up with prosecco are definitely adults-only. We’ve been experimenting with flavours and think you can’t beat fresh strawberries and mint frozen with Summer Cup, or lemon-scented Malfy gin with blueberries, thyme and our store-only gooseberry, elderflower and honey juice. Simply make a batch of your chosen lollies and, once they’re frozen, pop one in a wine glass, pour over our best-selling, crisp prosecco, and enjoy the taste of summer.
