What is Sparks?
Sparks is our M&S customer reward scheme, giving you the chance to earn money into your digital Sparks wallet when you shop personalised offers. Enjoy an annual birthday treat and a free hot drink from our cafe, and every time you scan your Sparks card, we'll donate to a charity of your choice. The M&S Credit Card loyalty programme rewards you when you spend on your M&S Credit Card. You'll earn points and these points turn into Rewards Vouchers which you can spend at M&S. If you're signed up for Digital Rewards, everything that you need is at your fingertips in Sparks on the M&S app - and you'll also get access to additional treats and offers.Will I get extra loyalty benefits when I've signed up for Digital Rewards with my M&S Credit Card?
Yes - you'll get 24/7 immediate access to:- Your Rewards Vouchers (including a digital version of any already sent in the post and haven't yet been used - so remember to destroy the paper copies as the vouchers only work once)
- Your up-to-date M&S points balance
- Your quarterly Rewards statements

Are there any restrictions on earning Credit Card Rewards Points?
Each time you shop at using your M&S Credit Card, you could be earning Rewards Points. The M&S Credit Card Loyalty Programme Terms and Conditions will let you know how many Points you can earn.There are some exclusions to be aware of - at present:
- You won't earn any Points on Balance Transfers, cash advances, or cash related payments (this includes Travel Money)
- You'll earn 1 point for every £5 spent when you shop with one of our partners at M&S - because they own the tills and checkout systems:

- M&S Insurance
- M&S Franchise Stores (some)
- M&S in an Outlet Store (some)
- Mamas & Papas in an M&S Store

Receiving your Credit Card Rewards
How can I receive Credit Card Rewards vouchers online?
You can access your M&S Credit Card Rewards vouchers in the Sparks area of the M&S App or at marksandspencer.com. To do this, link your Sparks account with your M&S Credit Card in your account settings. Once they're linked, you'll be able to view and use your Rewards vouchers digitally via the M&S App.When will I receive my Rewards vouchers online?
Rewards vouchers are issued four times a year - in March, June, September, and December, if you've earned at least 200 points. Digital vouchers will appear in the Sparks area of the M&S App or at marksandspencer.com. Just make sure you're logged in with the account linked to your M&S Credit Card.Will I still get my Rewards vouchers in the post?
No - if you've registered to receive your Rewards online, you'll now see your live Rewards vouchers in your M&S account. However, if you register after your quarterly mailer has been prepared, you may receive one final mailer. Rewards in your paper mailer are the same as Rewards in your M&S account. Rewards vouchers are single use. This means you can't use the Rewards in your paper mailer as well as in your M&S account.What should I do if I have received Credit Card Rewards online and I also receive my quarterly mailer?
Due to printing timings, you may still receive a quarterly mailer after you receive Credit Card Rewards online. You can't use both paper and online vouchers - each voucher can only be used once. Please destroy and recycle your paper vouchers.Why did I receive vouchers in the post after switching to online?
During the transition, you may temporarily receive both paper and digital vouchers. Each voucher code is unique and can only be used once. Redeeming one version (either the paper or online) automatically invalidates the other.Please note that Club Rewards customers will continue to receive all additional vouchers by post, (e.g., hot drinks vouchers, birthday treats, Fashion, Home & Beauty vouchers), with the exception of the Welcome Pack, which will be delivered online.
How long is my M&S Credit Cards Rewards Voucher valid for/when will it expire?
You have up to 17 months to use an M&S Credit Card Rewards Voucher if you're signed upto Digital Rewards - you can see how many days you have left to use them by viewing them in the Sparks section of your M&S App, and tapping on "full details".For Rewards Vouchers sent to your home address, you have up to 15 months to use them - the expiry date is printed on each Voucher.
Do paper Rewards vouchers expire?
Yes. Paper vouchers are valid for 15 months. Online vouchers are valid for 17 months. These are issued earlier, giving you more time to use them.Accessing and managing your Rewards
Where do I find my M&S Credit Card Rewards Points balance?
If you're signed upto Digital Rewards, you can find these 24/7 just underneath your Sparks wallet in the M&S App; your points are updated daily, but it can take 2-3 days for updates to your points to show.Your balance is also printed on your till receipts (paper copy or digital copy) when you shop in store.
And once a quarter we also send your quarterly points balance - this can be found in your Sparks on M&S App if you're signed up to Digital Rewards, or, if you're still receiving your M&S Rewards Vouchers in the post, it's printed in your quarterly Rewards mailpack.
When and where can I find my M&S Credit Card Rewards Vouchers?
If you've signed upto Digital Rewards, you'll find them in your Sparks on the M&S App; simply click on "view" in the "Credit Card rewards" section at the top of "your wallet". They'll also appear at check-out if you're shopping online.Once earned we serve them in December, March, June and September - and the good news is they're easy to use but impossible to lose (but make sure you spend them before they expire).
If you're still receiving your Rewards vouchers in the post, once earned they'll reach you in February, May, August and November so keep them somewhere safe.
What Rewards will I see when I join?
You'll see your available Rewards vouchers and how they've been earned on your M&S Credit Card. It may take 1-2 days for these to appear in your M&S account.Why don't I have any Rewards vouchers in my M&S account?
You need at least 200 M&S Rewards points to receive Rewards vouchers. Rewards vouchers will be added quarterly.How quickly will I see my current M&S Rewards points balance update?
Because of payment processing times it may take up to 48 hours between your transaction on your M&S Credit Card, and your M&S Rewards points being updated.Why has the points earnings period ended, but I haven't yet received my M&S Rewards vouchers in my M&S account?
There may be a delay while your points are being converted to M&S Rewards vouchers, this processing time is normal and to be expected.What happens to my Rewards vouchers if I close my M&S Credit Card?
If you close your M&S Credit Card, you'll still be able to access your live Rewards vouchers in your M&S account.I've got a query with my M&S Credit Card Rewards Points balance?

You can spend your Rewards Vouchers in store or online - you'll find the expiry date printed on the paper vouchers, or the number of days left to earn by tapping "Full Details" on the Voucher if you've signed up to Digital Rewards. Your Voucher can only be used once, so if it doesn't work when you're checking out at the till or online, it's likely that you've already used it or it's expired. When I'm buying in store, does it matter when I scan my Rewards vouchers?

- After scanning your items, you can apply your Rewards vouchers during the payment process before you complete checkout
Are there any products I can't pay for with Rewards vouchers?
You can't use Rewards vouchers to pay for M&S gift vouchers, gift cards, e-gift cards, M&S Travel Money, foreign exchange purchases, cash advances/withdrawals or lottery tickets. M&S Rewards vouchers cannot be used to pay your M&S Credit Card account. Find out more about Rewards vouchers restrictions.Can I return items I’ve bought with Rewards vouchers?
Yes - when you purchase with Rewards vouchers and return/refund in store, you’ll be issued with a credit note to spend at M&S. If you purchase with Rewards vouchers and return/refund at one of our Simply Foods stores or on the M&S website, you’ll be issued a gift card to spend at M&S.Can I switch back to paper vouchers?
Yes. Once your Sparks and Credit Card accounts are linked, you can update your delivery preferences in the M&S app:1. Open your Sparks account
2. Tap 'Credit Card Rewards' and scroll down to 'Receiving your Rewards'
3. Tap 'Change' and select your preferred option: 'In your Sparks account' or 'Quarterly by post'
4. Tap 'Update' and then select 'Apply Change'
Can I use an M&S Credit Card Rewards Voucher at the same time as my Sparks Card to pay for my goods?
Yes, you can.There's no change to how you spend your Vouchers when you're in store or shopping online, you can still use them to pay alongside your Sparks card balance, M&S Gift Cards, M&S Credit Card or any other way you wish to pay.
To spend your Digital Rewards Vouchers:
- When shopping in store, scan your Sparks card or Barcode, and then tap the "pay" button and scan the Rewards Voucher(s) you wish to use
- When shopping online, select the Rewards Voucher(s) you wish to use or tap in the code when you checkout
To spend your Rewards Vouchers sent in the post:
- When shopping in store, tap the "pay" button at the till and scan the Rewards Voucher(s) you wish to use
- When shopping online, tap in the code shown on your Voucher when you checkout
Remember, your Rewards Vouchers can only be used once, and they won't work after the expiry date.
Your Digital Rewards Treats & Offers
What special offers and treats can I look forward to as an M&S Credit Card customer signed up to Digital Rewards - and when will I get them?
Keep an eye on your Sparks in the M&S App for the things you can look forward to. In addition to the offers and treats that we serve to our Sparks members, as long as your Credit Card account remains open and up-to-date you'll find the following:- Access to our premium range of Sparks birthday treats - as long as your date of birth is held in the profile section of your M&S account. If you've only recently updated your date of birth, bear with us as it can take some time for our records to update, and if you've registered it within 35 days of your birthday you might not receive a treat this year
- A little treat to thank you for another year with us - sent every year around the month of your Credit Card anniversary (when you opened your Credit Card account)
- Possibly a free gift - just because
- And as we know you love our Bonus Point Offers, we've brought back the opportunity for you to earn more M&S points, which will then turn into Rewards vouchers that you can spend in M&S
How do I qualify for the special offers and treats as an M&S Credit Card customer?
In addition to the offers and treats that we give to our Sparks members, you might qualify for even more if you hold an M&S Credit Card.Firstly, you'll need to be signed up for Digital Rewards with your M&S Credit Card. If you've not already done this, it's an easy process and involves signing in (or up) to both your M&S and M&S Banking App so that you can connect your Sparks account to your Credit Card account. Once you're signed up for Digital Rewards, as long as your Credit Card account remains open and up-to-date, you'll automatically qualify for our special offers and treats.

How do I know when my Credit Card Anniversary is?
We've got this held in our records, so we'll be in touch when it's time for your treat. Yes, as long as you're still signed up to Digital Rewards and your credit card is still open and up-to-date, from time to time we might offer you the chance to earn more M&S points when you shop.The offer will explain what you can earn and how you can earn it. We'll give you all of the information you need (what it is, how long you have to use it, what it includes etc) when we serve it to you.
I'm an M&S Credit Card customer and I'm signed up to Digital Rewards - I think I've spent enough to earn the extra points but I'm not sure if my Points have been awarded?
You'll see the offer in your Sparks until the expiry date, so even if you've already hit the spend target don't worry. We're unable to provide you with a progress bar on this offer at this time.Once the offer expires, it will disappear from the M&S App, and we'll then take a look at your total spend during the offer window - this takes into account the things you bought and also the things you've returned within the window.
As long as you hit the threshold specified, we'll then add the promised amount to your loyalty points balance. We'll aim to do this within a month of the offer window closing, and if you allow push notifications from us, we'll drop you a line once we've awarded the points. These points will then be converted into M&S Rewards Vouchers in line with the quarterly release.
Here's an example to show how this works on an offer that gives you the chance to earn 1,000 Rewards Points if you spend a total of £150 at M&S, using your M&S Credit Card, between 1st and 30th of June:
- You spend £50 in one shop first week of June
- You spend £250 in a second shop a week later
- You return £75 worth of items a week later
- We assess your account in the middle of July and find your total spend is £225
- We award your M&S points at the end of July (so you might spot your balance increase)
- We convert your points into Rewards Vouchers and serve them to you in December

M&S Credit Card Rewards allows you to earn Rewards points every time you spend on your M&S Credit Card. These points will be converted into Rewards vouchers for you to spend at M&S.
