blonde beer
10 mL
Worcestershire sauce
1 pinch
paprika

M&S spring onions
tops and tails trimmed

Method

HIDE IMAGES
Step 1
Add butter (25 g) to both sides of the bloomer slices (4 slices) then place under a medium grill and toast, turning once, until golden all over.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine the grated cheese (200 g) with the mustard (10 g) , beer (60 mL) , Worcestershire sauce (10 mL) , a good twist of black pepper and paprika (1 pinch) , if using. Spread generously over the toasted bloomer slices before placing under the grill until oozing and golden.
Step 3
Meanwhile, heat a griddle pan over a high heat on the stove. Add butter (25 g) and season the spring onions (1 bunch) and place on the griddle. Cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally, until charred and just tender.
Step 4
Serve the toasts topped with the spring onions and the rest of the beer on the side.
