From custard pudding to croissant pudding, be inspired by our stunning recipes to enjoy at iftar

Raspberry and custard puddings

A household favourite, these quick and easy invididual puddings take minimal effort, yet look super-impressive

Ingredients (serves 4)

100g M&S rich tea finger biscuits, roughly crushed
4 tsp raspberry jam
400g raspberries
1 tin (400g) M&S silky-smooth custard
1 tsp cocoa powder

Divide the crushed biscuits between four serving glasses or glass bowls.
Top each with 1 tsp raspberry jam and a few fresh raspberries, reserving enough fruit to garnish at the end.
Pour the custard over the top of the raspberries and biscuits.
Add a few raspberries on top and finish with a sprinkling of cocoa powder.

Rice puddings with pomegranate and pistachio

End your feast on the sweetest note with these simple yet beautiful desserts

Ingredients (serves 4)

2 tins (400g each) M&S creamy rice pudding
1 M&S Madagascan vanilla pod
30-40g shelled pistachios, finely chopped
2 tbsp pomegranate seeds
1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
Dried rose petals (optional)

Gently heat the rice pudding on the hob. Split the vanilla pod, scrape the seeds into the rice pudding and stir though.
Divide the rice pudding between four serving glasses or glass bowls.
Sprinkle the pistachios in a crescent moon shape along one edge of the glass or bowl. Scatter with the pomegranate seeds, and the cinnamon and rose petals, if using.

Coconut, almond and pistachio croissant pudding

This twist on a classic bread pudding is made with buttery croissants and crunchy nuts, then finished with vibrant pomegranate seeds – it’s perfect for sharing during iftar

Ingredients (serves 4)

4 M&S all-butter croissants, thickly sliced
200ml whole milk
125g granulated sugar
300ml whipping cream
25g flaked almonds
25g shelled pistachios
25g desiccated coconut
1-2tsp ground cinnamon
Handful pomegranate seeds, to serve

Preheat the oven to 200°C/180°C fan. Put the croissants into an ovenproof dish approximately 25 x 20cm.
Heat the milk, sugar and cream in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
Pour the mixture over the croissants. Scatter the almonds, pistachios, coconut and cinnamon on top. Bake for 25-30 mins until golden brown.
Finish with a scattering of pomegranate seeds and serve.
