What to wear to a daytime hen do
If the event is indoors, such as a concert casual attire like jeans and a nice top may be more suitable. Comfort is key for cookery classes or craft workshops, but so is practicality. Choose hardwearing, relaxed clothes that you won’'t mind getting a bit dirty.
For cocktail making or wine tasting, dress for a night out but with flexibility in mind (you still have activities to do, after all). A sophisticated co-ord in an eye-catching colour or a dressy top with wide-leg trousers and pumps will work perfectly for this. For dance classes or yoga, wear something loose and comfortable that you can move easily in, such as jogging bottoms and a soft jersey T-shirt with a pair of trainers.
Outfit ideas for activity hen dos
It’s easy to overlook the weather amid the excitement of packing outfits for a hen party, but remember to check the forecast. If it’s going to be windy and cold outside, make sure to bring an insulated raincoat just in case, even if the party is indoors. If you are going to be engaging in outdoor activities such as walking, climbing or any other sport, make sure to take specialist clothing. Check out our outdoor clothing guide and consider wearing easy-to-layer breathable tops, sports leggings and a fleece. Pack robust footwear with cleated soles and ankle support for optimal comfort when rambling.
A chunky wool jumper is a wise idea for more relaxed seaside or countryside retreats while a swimming costume and sarong are must-haves for a beach or poolside hen party. Bring a pair of oversized sunglasses, a wide-brimmed hat, and some high-SPF sun screen to protect yourself from harmful rays.
