Darjeeling whisky sour

We heard King Charles III loves Darjeeling tea and Scotch whisky, so we combined them in this celebratory cocktail – perfect for raising a toast to the new monarch

Ingredients

  • 50ml M&S Distilled special reserve blended Scotch whisky
  • 35ml lemon juice
  • 12.5ml Darjeeling syrup (make strong Darjeeling tea, heat with equal parts sugar until dissolved*)
  • White of 1 egg, optional
  • Lemon peel, to garnish

Method

  1. Add the whisky, lemon juice, Darjeeling syrup and egg white to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice.
  2. Shake vigorously and strain into a short glass or tumbler filled with ice.

*Any extra syrup can be kept in the fridge for a couple of weeks
