We heard King Charles III loves Darjeeling tea and Scotch whisky, so we combined them in this celebratory cocktail – perfect for raising a toast to the new monarch

Ingredients
50ml M&S Distilled special reserve blended Scotch whisky
35ml lemon juice
12.5ml Darjeeling syrup (make strong Darjeeling tea, heat with equal parts sugar until dissolved*)
White of 1 egg, optional
Lemon peel, to garnish
Method
Add the whisky, lemon juice, Darjeeling syrup and egg white to a cocktail shaker with plenty of ice.
Shake vigorously and strain into a short glass or tumbler filled with ice.
*Any extra syrup can be kept in the fridge for a couple of weeks
