It’s a gorgeous bright, very pigmented berry, perfect for darker skin or lighter skin. If you have very fair skin, go in lightly, because this is quite pigmented. It’s a true matte, so shimmer that I could detect, and just very blendable and silky. The spots in the blush give it more of a pinky color, but I played around with it, and depending on what area you pick up color from, it can look more berry or more pink. Since I usually tend to go for brights like orange, coral, bright pinks even reds for summer, I think this is a very pretty color for the colder months. The color is vibrant but it is easy to blend and control, you can apply it lightly for a sheer wash of color or build up the intensity. It applies evenly and gives the most beautiful natural rosy color. If I want a little shimmer I just add a cool toned highlighter on top and the result is stunning. I can't say enough good things about how easy it is to apply, and how lovely it looks. The package comes with a mirror and is absolutely classic looking in its set up. It has this incredible baked look which sets so lightly on the skin, that it avoids that 80s face (where it looks like you got slapped across the cheeks). While this color is too deep for me, it looks STUNNING and would absolutely recommend it to my medium/deep toned clients2. It has a faint, pleasant, cupcake-like scent that is delicious. It is only noticeable in the compact and the scent disappears almost instantly upon application. But if you’re sensitive to fragrance, this may not be for you.3. **this might just be me being paranoid, so please take this part with a grain of salt** This blush is packed full of skin-loving ingredients which are meant to help improve your skin, even while you’re wearing makeup, and I think that’s awesome! My only concern is the use of AHAs. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good AHA in my routine, but I find the inclusion of retinol and lactic acid to be a superfluous addition to the formula. There is even a disclaimer on the back of the packaging about the ingredients causing photosensitivity, or something to that effect. I am very fair and burn even after a few minutes exposed in the sun without protection. After wearing this blush out in the wild and not touching up my SPF throughout the day, I feel that the skin on my cheeks feel mildly burnt and a little sensitive. Again, this could be me second-guessing myself, but I think I have valid reason for concern. I’m hesitant, but I like this blush a lot and will continue to try to make it work throughout the summer months. Whats nice about this is that because it has a lot of pigment a little bit goes a long way and you can quickly make the blush brighter if you wanted too. The blush went on nicely over my foundation and was easily to blend as well. I go back and forth from liquid blush to powder blush but this is probably one of my favorite powders. I have oily skin but this blush didnt dry cakey on my skin it stayed nice and fresh looking.
