Ac Perioral dermatitis - read the ingredients carefully I bought this product to help fade some dark spots and brighten up my completion a bit. I guess I didn't do much research into what this product was, I just trusted the Murad name. Little did I know, I was damaging my skin barrier with the glycolic acid. I developed perioral dermatitis, which I have never ever had before and I also would never categorise my skin as sensitive either. I already was using lactic acid to exfoliate gently a few times a week. So I guess this overdid it. Just something to look out for. Not to say this is a bad product, but I think I didn't realize what the ingredients were doing, their purpose and I misunderstood and had a not great reaction to this product.

RI R This product caused me to be very ill over the six months that I was using it. Doctors and myself just couldn’t understand what was happening. I had physical symptoms such as severe allergic reaction and chronic sinusitis. Then I decided to research the ingredients and found that a chemical named Formaldehyde was in this product. That has actually caused all of my symptoms. So I decided to stop this product and within a few weeks my symptoms went away. I’m not sure about any other products from this company anymore.

This is an expensive product and I have been using it twice daily since 26/12/22 (after washing with the Murad Essential C Cleanser). 3 stars because the serum seems to sit on my skin and remains sticky for ages. Is it supposed to be absorbed by the skin? I will continue to use it for a while and hopefully it will reduce my dark spots.

Zara Not Absorbing at all Really disappointed. Just wasted my money. The Vitamin C serum doesn’t absorb at all. And it doesn’t let other creams on the top absorb as well.

null Mrs An Waseem At first I was very skeptical if this is really going to work! But Wow! It has got rid of my dark spots and Melasma . I am 40 years old, and since I had my last baby in summer I got a lot of pigmentation and dark spots. This has really lighten my skin. I also suffer from acne, so the glycolic acid makes sure it doesn’t block my pores. I will recommend this product. Especially with Asian skin.
