Manzanilla is a highly prized dry sherry produced only in the bodegas of Sanlucar de Barrameda on the estuary of the Guadalquivir river in south western Spain.
About this bottle: Manzanilla is a highly prized dry wine from Sanlúcar de Barrameda on the estuary of the Guadalquivir River in Andalucía. Made from the white palomino grape the wines are aged in seasoned American oak barrels under a veil of flor yeast. Cool Atlantic breezes and high humidity means the flor grows well which keeps the wine light to drink but imparts the unique tangy flavours. M&S winemaker Sue Daniels has sourced this fine example from two family owned Soleras managed by Paola Medina Sheldon of Williams and Humbert.
