This was such a disappointing cake sadly. Clean to look at but flavour-wise quite tasteless and the buttery taste that used to be there is no longer. Tastes of much cheaper ingredients, probably butter watered down with another oil or fat. Wouldnāt buy again sadly.

I bought this for my parentsā 80th birthday. It was smaller than I thought and the slices were small for 20 people but it was fine. It tasted very nice and looked good once Iād decorated it with candles and gold spray and sparkles. I would recommend if you donāt want to bake a cake yourself but want to personalise it.

The M&S Vanilla Cake was perfect for my dad's 80th birthday celebration. The cake was fresh, light and incredibly tasty, with so many guests commenting on how delicious it was. There wasn't a slice left at the end of the day, which says it all! We added our own simple decorations and topped it with chopped strawberries, and it looked stunning. Great value for money, excellent quality, and ideal for a special occasion. I wouldn't hesitate to order this cake again.
