This cake is a perfect base to decorate. The cake itself is lovely and the sponge is light. There isn’t too much buttercream so it isn’t overly sweet either, which is a good starting point for further decorations. I’ve bought this cake many times and it will continue to be my go to cake for any occasion.

Always a gorgeous cake - I’ve ordered 4 times this year as a wedding cake and 3 special birthdays - our guests and us love it - the buttercream is yummy- sadly on the last occasion M&S couldn’t amend the delivery date as requested in plenty of time - be wary of this if ordering alongside other items on the same order
