Bought for son's 16th birthday as he is way past the caterpillar phase (whatever the name) Cake was a good size for 8+ people, moist and chocolaty but light and the same time. Nothing dense or heavy about this. Lovely chocolate shards on top and name & details written correctly. Picking up was easy enough. Better value for it's size than the white-rose version

This chocolate cake was a big hit at my wife’s s birthday party. Even the cake bakers were praising it for flavour and texture. For a special occasion you have to have a reliable supplier and M&S were just that. The cake was available exactly as promised, was nice and fresh and iced as requested. Perfect choice for a special occasion!

Nicely presented chocolate cake. You have to really really love chocolate for this cake, it is definitely an indulgence. Click and collect for this is a bit nonsense, after 15 minutes of in-putting the code sent for collection , I had to find a member of staff who then informed me the computer collection system doesn’t work for this type of order…The cake also does not come in a bag that you can carry like Lola’s cakes do, and this particular store did not have bags big enough to hold the cake uptight. The person the cake was for loved it as they are a complete chocolate fiend.
