Including the birthday boy this fed 15 children in total plus a few adults. It really depends on how you cut this cake but if you cut it correctly (there is a technique to slicing circular) you can certainly serve decent portion sizes for more than 12 people (not getting all the colour in each portion). This cake is perfect for anyone who enjoys a good rainbow cake and especially for younger children birthday parties. The cake was very tasty and not overly sweet. Some reviews suggested it is sickly sweet, I think these reviews might be referring to the icing which is the sweetest part of the cake (but not sickly sweet in my opinion). It was a perfect balance overall. I will certainly reorder this cake again and highly recommend it.

Bought this for my son’s 7th birthday and it tasted amazing. The guests were shocked when I said it was store bought and for the price too. Cake was really tasty and wasn’t dry at all, serves 12 but we then cut each slice into half as the slices are very deep, so there was plenty. I would fully recommend this and will purchase future birthday cakes from M&S
