What do lilies represent?

Lilies are known to represent love, purity, fertility and rebirth. Depending on the colour, lilies can symbolise different things. White lilies are often used at weddings, funerals and baptisms, whereas red lilies represent love, and are a perfect gift for Valentine’s Day. How do I arrange lilies in a vase?

Fill your vase to three-quarters full and add flower food if you have some, to help to prolong the life of the blooms. Cut the stems at a 45-degree angle, which helps with water absorption, and remove any leaves that would sit below the water line. Then pop your lilies in the vase, making sure they’re evenly placed and the vase looks full from all angles.

What types of lily are there?

There are over 100 different types of lily to choose from. Some of the most popular species include Asiatic, Stargazer, Easter and tiger lilies.
