Denim Button Front Midi Circle Skirt

This is a very nice skirt but unfortunately had to be returned. It was bought in size 12 to replace a size 10 from several years ago but unfortunately this had exactly the same waist & hip measurements so was too small.

I really liked the design of the skirt but it is very impractical due to cheap closing mechanism. The poppers pop open with very basic movement and i feel like i need to check on them regularly to ensure they are closed. The gap between them is rather big and if sitting down they create a gap. Also i had to size up for better fitting. Overall i am disappointed as the price does not justify its quality.

SIZE: 10/R ~ ‘Made in India’ Spot on, on the waist for me, this is a relatively heavy, unlined, full circle denim skirt with belt loops that is a bit longer than I like on my average height, likely due to the 10 cm band at the bottom. Rather than buttons down the front, as is suggested by the current product detail, they are poppers of which only the top 3 are real. There is a small button + a buttonhole on a flap to the side of the top popper, which is a bit fiddly, especially with long nails! The pockets are a good depth. There is a warning about possible colour transfer on light materials. I am hopeful that it will retain some of its stiffness after several more washes (40°). M&S back to the good old days of hard to match quality, IMO.

Skirt is ok - I bought the tall version (I'm 5ft 9) and it's a good length compared to others I have tried. Material is also nice with a fair bit of stretch. Sizing seems to be inconsistent - 18 was huge and 16 is pretty tight. However the biggest negative, which has been mentioned by other reviewers, is that the poppers are cheap and constantly rattling. Only the top 3 poppers are functional. I don't know why M&S would design a nice skirt and put those cheap poppers on it. Because it's a good length, Im going to hold on to it and try to glue the poppers so that they dont rattle any more.
