salmon famine
Yes, I recommend this
we ordered 3 platters. You have to make up your own blinis and the salmon ran out after 11/2 platters. we had to use our own supply so beware!

disappointed

Ordered this platter for a dinner party was disappointed as I could have brought it from the store. I didn't realise it would need to be made up.

Rather deceptive
No, I don't recommend this
I think the packaging is misleading as you see the made up blinis. I bought them for a funeral wake and opened them shortly before we were leaving for the crematorium to find wrapped packets of blinis, smoked salmon and dill sauce and instructions to divide the salmon (and quantity a bit mean I thought) into 24 pieces, warm the blinis and assemble. I think it would be better to buy the blinis, dill sauce and smoked salmon separately!

Not happy, thought they were ready made, had to bake bases and assemble, if I knew I had to make it I wouldn't have bought

A real let down as I had ordered all this party food to save us time and effort. I did not realise that these blinis all had to be unpacked ,the salmon cut up and put together with the creme on the blini. It took my husband ages to do! Then we had to find a suitable plate to serve on. We might has well have bought everything separately and done it ourselves. Definitely not what we expected.

Requires a DIY job!

My fault but didn't realise the blini, salmon and crème freche are packed separately meaning you have to put it together yourself. Also didn't particularly think they tasted that good. Was a good alternative to meat and all of them got eaten so I guess other people did like them.

Why oh why did I not read the reviews before purchase!!!! I was shocked to find it is a DIY job and have had to purchase extra smoked salmon to cover the blinis!!!!!

Misleading
No, I don't recommend this
Great picture of complete product, but all you get are 24 blinis that need to be cooked, a puny pack of smoked salmon and a tube of cream cheese all in a box! It is certainly not clear from the website that the blinis have to be assembled, and we were most disappointed and would certainly not have ordered the product knowing this. Poor value for money and a misleading picture.

Bad value

I couldn't believe it when I opened the box and found I had to construct these myself! I'd bought 4 boxes and had to cook the blinis, cut up the salmon and squeeze the topping - all very fiddly! I could have cried! I had bought those for ease. Most disappointing and a very expensive option.

I could have done this myself!

If I had known that I had to heat up my oven to warm the blinis for just five minutes, that the salmon was just a packet of salmon, not even sliced up, and that the sauce would turn out to have been frozen somewhere along the line, and had split on defrosting, I wouldnt have bothered buying this from M&S at this price, but would have made my own blinis and sauce and bought the salmon. It would have cost less and taken less time than fiddling about putting these together.

Purchased these for finger buffet. Looked very appetising and proved very popular as the plate was soon cleared. If you purchase these though you do have to put them together yourself so you will need a piping bag or some greaseproof paper to enable you to make one. Would purchase again and recommend to family and friends.

Very nice, though is a bread, not a biscuit, which some blinis are.

I didn't bother to heat up the blinis and they were fine cold. Went down a treat at the birthday buffet lunch I organised for my husband.

Thought these came assembled as hadn't read description carefully. Good quality but could have bought items myself defeated the object of easy canapés!

The family thought these would have been better on a crisper base, were not considered to be very tasty because of the base.
