Always a gorgeous cake - I’ve ordered 4 times this year as a wedding cake and 3 special birthdays - our guests and us love it - the buttercream is yummy- sadly on the last occasion M&S couldn’t amend the delivery date as requested in plenty of time - be wary of this if ordering alongside other items on the same order

I bought this cake to celebrate my 60th birthday and what a fantastic choice! The cake was perfectly packed on arrival and tasted delicious. I decorated it myself with fruit and small meringues. It went down a treat at my party and my guests were so impressed, thank you M&S.

visibly wet cake, obviously not stored correctly.

The cake was wet when collected, visible water drops all over it. The checkout staff got a manager who said “I think it will be alright” I was advised to lightly dab it with kitchen roll. The cake was for that evening, so I couldn’t have it replaced, as she said it would take too long to re order. I won’t use M&S for a cake again. Felt let down as I had no options and none were offered. On reflection I feel that the staff should have let me take a replacement cake from the shop floor at the very least.

This cake tasted great and was easy to decorate with a cake topper and cake balls. I only dropped a star because after I ordered I spotted the equivalent product at a considerably lower price at another supermarket . However, I’m sure this one tasted better so I was pleased with my purchase.
