I love this lamp! I've got a cool white bulb in it and it gives out a beautiful muted light. I presume with a warm white bulb it would make the shade look yellow. I love the filter on the top of the shade as I've put it in the hall and it shades the bulb when you look down on the lamp. The base is the same pleated cardboard as the shade (I expected it to be porcelain) but I still love it.

Looks great but issues with being dimmable
We are happy with the quality and look of the lamp. It is very light and on the large side too. The product specifications at the time of writing wrongly recommended a candle-shaped bulb but that is too large so you will require a golfball-shaped bulb. After trying 3 different brands of dimmable bulbs with no success we have contacted M&S support and asked them to find out the type of dimming module the lamp has as this determines which bulbs you need (Trailing egde is for LED bulbs and Leading edge is for halogen/incandescent bulbs).
