The lamp that topples over.
On opening the box I was very impressed with the look of the lamp. However after it was put together and I placed it upon my cabinet, it would not stand up. It was obviously top heavy. Such a shame as I really liked it. Therefore returned.

This lamp was bought to pop on the mantelpiece to take over the job of an old standard lamp which used to be adjacent. I chose it because it was stylish, tall (for a table lamp), and dimmable for subdued evening lighting. Unfortunately, when it arrived we found it was NOT dimmable as described, which customer service confirmed when I phoned to query. I was disappointed that no action to compensate (e.g. small amount refunded as a credit note perhaps?) apart from return for full refund was offered. Too much faff to do this, particularly as the lamp is so lovely, so we are keeping it & replacing the switch with a dimmer switch ourselves.
