Difficult to keep, Fiddle fig plant

I always wanted one of these plants. When it arrived a leaf was in the bottom of the box, quite a few leaves had black spots. Over the last week it has lost 5 leaves, I am really good with plants , so disappointed, think I may have to throw it away if it doesn't improve. Was going to buy another decided not to.

Plant looked very healthy despite a little dust! It arrived safely in a huge box to protect it. It’s quite a large plant so be prepared for where it will live! I already had a large enough pot so didn’t need to buy one. Once dusted, the leaves were dark green and glossy and it’s doing very nicely in its spot.

Misleading photos and poor delivery

The plant I received was just about 60cm from the bottom of the pot to the top of the highest leaf. This means the actual plant was about 45cm tall from soil level ie less than half the size of all those pictured on the website. It was far too small for the recommended basket which I had also purchased. Additionally the leaves were caked in dirt and the lowest, smaller leaves had been folded and crushed within the packaging. The plant was left on the doorstep in very cold conditions without anyone ringing the bell. Overall I wouldn’t recommend buying this online, and certainly at least be aware that the plant you receive will be vastly smaller than those in the pictures here.
