The finest quality grapes are chosen for this Tawny port, sourced primarily from five top quintas (vineyard in the upper Douro valley: dos Malvedos, do Tua, das Lages (in the Rio Torto) as well as da Vila Velha and do Vale de Malhadas. These quintas, sitting in the heart of the upper Douro valley, enjoy an ideal combination of a hot and dry micro-climate, coupled with a unique schist soil that provide the best conditions for growing and optimal ripening. .

I purchased this port from Canada as a Christmas gift for our UK family last year. I will be ordering this again for 2016 as it was very well received. Fights for the last drop occurred and I was told that it was surprisingly one of the best ports they had ever tasted!
