Ditsy Floral Puff Sleeve Midi Wrap Dress

Fabulous colour and print and a simple wrap over style. Looks great, doesn’t it? Except it’s virtually impossible to get into without help as the loop for the tie belt is tiny and it’s impossible to thread it through under the arm (ie one handed), unless you’re blessed with very long arms. Then, once on, the front gapes - a cami underneath is essential - and because the ties are too short, they slip undone easily and the whole dress falls apart! Of course you can tie it in a double reef knot to keep the dress together, but then it’s almost impossible to undo to take it off. Plus the slippery fabric means it falls open when sitting, so an Under-slip is essential for decency.

I’m usually a12 but took a chance on a 10 and it was a good size for me. It has a breezy summer feel.

Pretty dress, not keen on the puffed shoulders but really liked the cuff on the short sleeves. So much nicer than elastic. Sadly the waist was far too high, a rigid band across my ribs under my bust is too uncomfortable especially as it has to be tied closely to stop the front flapping open. I have come to the conclusion that the models might be my height but they must have proportionally short bodies so they look good but that doesn’t help me!

I bought this dress in the Royal purple colour. It’s easy to wear casual or dressed up as I did for Jubilee party. Flattering square neckline - just enough skin on show and lovely sleeve detail. Slightly full skirt skims over any bumps/ lumps. MIDI length suits as I am 5’ 1”. Very pleased - got lots of compliments too.
