The perfect martini cocktail, according to Dame Joan

To create Dame Joan's perfect martini cocktail, we've combined our five times distilled, charcoal-filtered British vodka with dry vermouth for a classically classy martini cocktail. It's served in a gold-ribbed bottle with a velvet tag that's as glamorous as Dame Joan herself.

"For me, the perfect martini has just the faintest hint of vermouth, and absolutely no groceries in the glass," says Dame Joan. "This is to let the flavours of the vodka shine through – it is the key ingredient, after all! I drink it shaken over ice and decanted into the glass. I like my martini served in a traditional martini glass, a timeless classic which holds just the right amount." And Dame Joan's thoughts on garnish? "For me, absolutely no groceries. I don't bother with the extras – they take up too much room in the glass."

As for the perfect time of day to enjoy it? "I love to host an evening party, so what better time to indulge in a freshly shaken martini cocktail with some of my favourite people," says Dame Joan.
