Meet the farmer

Most of our British tomatoes come from the Isle of Wight, due to its unique microclimate, with coastal temperatures and lots of light, making it the ideal location for growing the juiciest, sweetest and most flavour-packed tomatoes.

Brian Moralee is one of only two M&S Select Farmers on the island. Brian has worked on the Isle of Wight for over 25 years and was the first to grow the Isle of Wight Summer Selection in the UK.

Not only do Brian and his team grow the tastiest tomatoes, but they’re also involved with environmental projects, like composting all the green waste from the farm and maintaining a well-protected space for water voles to live and thrive.

Types of tomatoes

Piccolo Vine Tomatoes - Each juicy tomato bursts with a naturally sweet and tart flavour, lending a vibrant freshness to pasta sauces or fresh bruschetta.
Cherry Tomatoes - Sweet flavour and juicy texture.
Sugardrop Tomatoes - Sun-ripened to naturally enhance their sweetness.
San Marzano Tomatoes - Bursting with freshness and sweet, tangy flavour. Great for sauces, pizzas and stews.
Rosa Vine Tomatoes - Packed with juicy sweetness and fresh flavour.
Beef Tomatoes - These are grown longer for a larger size and a richer flavour, perfect in a classic Caprese salad.
Pomodolci Vine Tomatoes - Sun-ripened and bursting with sweetness.
Santini Tomatoes - Savour their natural sweetness in salads or sandwiches.

Pink Oishi Tomatoes - Grown exclusively for M&S on the Isle of Wight, they're delicate with distinctive umami flavours, and great in salads.
Tiger Tomatoes - Directly sourced from M&S Select Farms on the Isle of Wight for a mouth-watering taste and ultra-soft texture. Pair with basil for the ultimate flavour combination.
Arlintia On The Vine Tomatoes - These succulent tomatoes ripen on the vine, developing a deep flavour and delicate texture.
Capella Combo Vine Tomatoes - This superb mix of sweet and fragrant tomatoes adds a flavour burst to salads, sandwiches and starters.
