Very disappointed with this cake. M&S cakes are usually spot on, but this one really missed the mark. There was far too much buttercream around the outside, and the texture was gritty — almost as if the icing sugar hadn’t been mixed properly.

Lovely moist cake. I was worried that it might be overly sweet but it wasn’t. I’ve ordered a few of these cakes from M&S and I prefer the carrot and chocolate ones but this one is still pretty good and it looked great once I had added a topper and candles

Nice , but not what was expected
It looked very tasty, but when we cut into it, it was a bit disappointing. For some reason I had expected it more gooey. The frosting was very granular in that you could feel the sugar in it when you bit into it. My granddaughter who it was for was happy with it, which was the main thing as it was her 21st. I will likely but a different cake. As they did all look lovely
