Love the look

Love the look, some of the best looking boat shoes out there. They are relatively comfortable, the insole could be a little thicker/softer in my opinion. The tan color if my favorite, they should make in more colors including tan. I would buy more.

Great Shoes!
Originally posted on Rodd & Gunn
I bought my pair 20 months ago and wanted to come back when I had accumulated a lot of kilometres to report on. First, I live in Canada, and yes, I wear these in the winter. These are my everyday shoes, and I have put them through everything like: snow, mud, rain, sand, salt/fresh water. They are still in pretty good shape, and I have only had to clean them occasionally when mud or salt builds up on them. I can honestly say that the laces are still in great shape, the sole is still in good shape, and the treads are still good, except for the high impact areas like the balls of my feet and heels. The leather has begun to get really loose and as one person review your foot kind of starts to slide laterally. I did find the leather did loosened up a bit more than expected after the first month or wear and I will buy a size down next time to compensate for that stretch. I was thoroughly impressed by the heel support when I first got them and it is still provinding good support. For example, just this past weekend I stood for 9+ at a track and field event and my feet were still good. I would highly recomment these shoes.

This is such a quality shoe. It feels comfortable and lightweight. Looks great worn casually. I bought the denim and will soon buy the khaki colored ones as they’re definitely what catch my eye the most.

Lack of lateral supports undermines good shoes

No, I don't recommend this
Good looking shoes, but nearly no lateral support means the upper slides around the sole.

Sperry Killer

Yes, I recommend this
I’ve worn exclusively Sperry for over 20 years; their models and selection has steadily gone downhill, which led me to find R&G. I wish I had found them much sooner; the fit and finish on these are impeccable, though my 1 slight may be the footbed since I’m used to a pretty good cushion vs. Gold Cups. But aside from that, they’re the perfect low-key daily wear and I’ll absolutely be picking up another pair in the future!
