Superdefense Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Fatigue+1st Signs of Age Multi-Correcting Cream- Very Dry/ Dry Combination 50ml

I like this moisturiser. I have dry/combination skin with fine lines starting to form around my eyes and dryness outside my T zone. I was surprised by how rich this cream was when I first applied it and my face feels very well-moisturised in the dry areas, but not oily in the T zone. I also really love that it has SPF. Finally, it doesn't seem to migrate into the eyes and irritate them as some creams can. I'd really recommend giving it a go if you have dry areas and want a strong moisturising effect.

I had been using Superdefence for many years before it was discontinued and I absolutely loved it. My skin felt moisturised, soft and plump and it left a lovely glow. People often commented on how healthy my skin looked. The new Superdefence cream provides none of these advantages. It leaves my skin looking dull and matt and makes foundation make up difficult to apply evenly over it. I am so disappointed and I wish Clinique would bring back the old Superdefence!

I have persevered for a while with this new formula but it is horrible. It's a thick sticky cream. The old version was lighter and left a lovely glow. If it ain't broke then why fix it? After using Superdefense for 20 or so years am now using a different brand - shame.

After using this cream forever and ordering in the fatigue fighters pack it seems to have now changed into a thick cream which sits in the skin leaving it greasy. Loved the old version, and after discussing this on chat got cut off!!

The new 'improved' version is just not the same. I used this cream for years and they've just ruined it. It smells difference, the texture is different, it doesn't sit as nice with make up now a - please bring back the old version!!

I had been using dramatically different moisturising lotion for years and needed a boost.l did think carefully as the reviews had not been so positive.This cream is beautiful,it goes on well, and l feel y skin is protected and nourished .Thank you Clinique x

Like many others the old superdefence has been my go to cream for years. This new addition is very disappointing, thick, sits on skin, causes breakouts. The old version was light yet hydrating and absorbed easily leaving soft glowing skin, please bring it back! I have tried all the alternatives Clinique offer and non compete.

Like so many other reviewers I had used the old version for about 20 years and never thought about trying another moisturiser as I was so happy with it. However, although I was assured by the online advisor that this was the same it was not. It leaves my skin feeling very tight. I never usually write reviews but I feel very strongly about this product. Please please bring back the old version.

I have used superdefense for many many years, but I have go to agree with most of the ONE STAR comments, since the colour of the jar change from Green to Orange it is just not the same product. I have persisted with the new cream but it is just not the same. I am now looking for a different product to replace what was my favourite face cream for many years. Please bring back the original CLINIQUE superdefense cream.

I was using the old SPF20 Superdefense for years and it worked perfectly with my skin. It was an amazing base for my Clinique make up and I was always complimented on my skin. I was quite concerned therefore when I learnt it was being discontinued. I spoke to an Advisor who said this new product was its replacement and apart from the packaging and a few minor additions to fight fatigue, it was the same product. It is not, it is horrific!! The texture is completely different and it actually feels like it is sucking the moisture out of my skin. I felt so uncomfortable throughout the day and my skin felt better without the moisturiser on. It leaves your skin so dry that my makeup sits on top and looks clumpy, uneven and because of the products poor quality, my makeup sits in every line and has aged my look considerably. I am so disappointed with this product and have never experienced this with Clinique before. I called the Customer Care Team who have advised me to return it and the woman I spoke to said she does not like it, its not the same texture and the nearest thing to the old SPF20 Superdefense, in her opinion, is the Clinique Smart Moisturiser. However this starts at £54. I think Clinique have changed far too may products recently, have reduced the quality but have increased their prices. I have been using their ranges for 20 years and feel the current range are the most disappointing. I now do not know which moisturiser to buy as the Moisture Surge doesn't cut it either. I just hope Clinique reads all the bad reviews on this product and brings the old one back, please!!!!

I was so excited to try this moisturiser after taking advice from an online Clinique consultant who I thought had guided me to purchase my perfect match. However, I have been so disappointed with the results. I just keep having break outs after starting to use this product and I've never had a problem with break outs before. I would not recommend this product at all

Like a lot of other customers I don't understand why you have stopped making the old superdefense. I have tried both of the new versions, the gel is sticky and the cream too thick. I have very sensitive skin and only used Clinique superdefense for last 20 years. So now not sure what to do - please bring back the old version.

I was told via Clinique chat online that Superdefense spf25 was an exact replacement for the fantastic Superdense spf 20 that I'd been using for years. I put it on my Christmas list and my husband (aka Santa) bought it for me online. I'm beyond disappointed with the cream. It's caused several breakouts (I never get spots, very few as a teen) It's also a thicker cream to use and doesn't have the nice glow the previous one had. Why did Clinique change the formula? What was wrong with the spf 20 version? And where do I go now for a good day cream with spf?

Hugely disappointed in this product. I bought the SPF 25 version quickly because I couldn't find SPF 40 version online and had run out of moisturiser. But they are vastly different products and this is the inferior. Its heavy, greasy and wholly unpleasant on the skin, unlike the light texture of the SPF 40. The SPP 40 must still be available because Clinique is still offering samples for it, I got one with this moisturiser. When it's available again, get the SPF 40 version. The SPF 25 is entirely unsuited to anyone with oilier skin or who wants a light feeling moisturiser. Very disappointed.
