Slim Fit Japanese Selvedge Jeans

Too narrow in the legs for my ageing husband so going back

Why on earth have you never changed the false information that these jeans have a zip. How many times do you need to be told?

I find M&S sizing really confusing. In wool blend trousers I'm a 34 but in jeans a 32. M&S's take on slim fit is different to the accepted meaning. These have a baggy seat and thighs and are only slim below the knees. Even the waist was generous. The Japanese denim is of high quality and the fabric is much stiffer than washed denim. You definitely need to have the option of trying on a range of sizes before choosing. My attempt at online shopping for M&S jeans was pretty doomed and unsatisfactory.

These jeans are made from denim ,probably woven on Toyoda shuttle looms using 1/6 ring spun cotton yarn.15.8oz weight. For the price this is easily the best you will find. The slight negatives have been highlighted by other reviewers , they are not cut quite right around the thighs and are button only , not zipper and button. This is traditional denim , not the `floppy` stuff popular at the moment, so it will feel stiff.Still great value for money.

As other reviewers have stated, a very strange 'slim fit' jean. Whilst the denim is a quality heavyweight denim the fit leaves something to be desired. Fine from knee to ankle but, very baggy on the thigh! If the design was in proportion throughout the leg would be an excellent pair of jeans. Let down by the photographs and description. Returned for refund.

Japanese Selvedge is meant to be tough, stiff, hard wearing, If you are after soft opt for Italian Selvedge. These jeans age with time and wearing. Don't wash them - seriously. Wear them and wear them and wear them... they'll start to work into your shape. They'll become you. These are a bargain when it coms to Japanese Selvedge.

M&S selvedge jeans are usually very good. Unfortunately these jeans do literally stand up on their own. Wear these and you will look like you've been in the saddle all day - truly awful - it was like unpacking cardboard. Someone,somewhere is having a joke.

For the money these jeans are outstanding. Proper quality Japanese denim, nice & thick, ready for years of wearing in. You could easily pay £150 for similar quality elsewhere.
