Great size, bigger than looks in the pictures. My daughter loved it. There’s no way on god’s green earth it would feed 40 though. The chocolate is SO thick, it’s impossible to slice thinly at all. Each piece has to be around 1” minimum to stop it cracking to shreds! The cake itself was really moist and delicious. IMO nicer than a regular sized Connie. The only real downside was getting candles in it. Almost impossible without cracking the chocolate. You need super sharp pointy candle holders or you’re stuffed! Would definitely buy again with the above in mind.

We bought Connie and Colin the caterpillars to appear at our Golden Wedding meal on 4th October. The staff kindly agreed to carry them in at the start of the meal just before the welcome speeches. They were introduced as late guests. It set the scene for a good night as everyone found it highly entertaining. One was cut up to have with our coffee after the meal and there was none left on the plates at the end. They were very tasty and just the right quantity. Connie came home with me and was distributed the next day to friends who arrived to visit. The one problem I had was that the delivery date was to be Tuesday 30th September, I stayed around all day watching and waiting for a message of delivery. I received it the next day but it had gone to my junk mail. I was so glad I had double checked my emails.

The cake was beautifully made and presented. The recipient was delighted and it tasted delicious. My only gripe was the short best before date. This was only 5 days after pick up. It meant I had to rearrange when to give the cake.
