I find the soles of M&S children’s shoes far less slippy on wet surfaces than the adult versions, so opted for these rather than their grown-up equivalents. They’re exactly as they look! - and should be useful casual shoes . The only thing to watch, if you buy similar, is the sizing. The 3s really are size 3, in old UK measurements, not the European 36 which is nearly half-a-size larger. I imagine the same applies across the board, so you may need to size up.
