Excellent quality, heavy denim . Snug fit on bottom & waist but surprisingly wide through the thighs. I realise that they are 'straight leg' but they are far too roomy on the thighs and knees, almost like men's jeans. Consequently, not very flattering at all. I have kept them as they are such good quality, but I will only use them for dog walking and around the house.

The quality of the jeans is good, however the fit isn’t! I ordered a size larger because of other comments but they were still too small and this isn’t the first time I have had this problem with Marks and Spencer’s jeans

Jeans arrived - perfect length. However, they did not look at all like the picture online, different colour and looked like a different design/style. Returned - very poor experience . Perhaps a mix up? This is made more frustrating because lots of the petite lengths are not in store and enviably lead to returns.

Bought these Jean to replace my well-loved and worn out Levi’s 501s. Of course the cut isn’t quite the same as these are a little looser but I didn’t want to pay £100 for a pair of jeans so these M&S jeans were quite the find! First off the fabric of these is nice and thick and despite having 1% elastane, they don’t stretch as much as other brands with the same fabric, meaning there’s enough stretch to be comfortable but not so much they go baggy. As for the cut, I went for a 10 Long (usually I wear a 28W 32L) and they are the perfect length for me. The singular drawback is that the bottom hem is slightly (deliberately) frayed which isn’t a deal breaker but makes them less smart than they would otherwise be. Overall however I’m really impressed at the quality for the price and will be wearing these on repeat.

So pleased M and S is doing extra long length jeans! At 6ft this is appreciated and would love more styles in this length. These jeans are a lovely fit, good quality and I like that they’re a looser straight leg jean than the tighter ones previously sold. Didn’t need to size up.

Had to size up - but lovely jeans. Normal size 14 too small round waist- returned for 16 and these perfect. Shame as got £6 sparks benefit initially - but this taken off me with exchange!

Frayed edges !

These were in worse condition than the pair I need to replace. How can jeans get frayed at the edges, unless they drag along the ground ? And the "distressing" on the legs - my old pair have not worn like that.

I prefer the high waisted jeans but these ones were cut wider than usual and didn’t suit me so I sent them back and exchanged them for the narrower legged ones. Unfortunately I had to compromise as the narrower legged jeans were mid rise.
