Glycerin GTS 23

These are so good.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn't realize how bad my old shoes were getting until I put these on. These are so good. I did not have to change sizes from the previous model. The soles are balanced, cushioned and stable. They feel a touch firmer than the previous Glycerin GTS 22, but also feel really good under my feet. I really like that there's more cushioning in the forefoot--Brooks has needed this for a long time in my opinion. The upper part of the shoe is comfortable. The toe box feels more roomy in this version and I love it. My only initial complaint (before I wore these) was that there wasn't a lace loop on the tongue but it doesn't seem to be an issue for these shoes. There was also no rubbing or hot spots with these shoes. I'm not a runner and wear these for every day use. I wore for the first time yesterday on my big errand day (grocery shopping, etc, on my feet all day kind of day) with ankle socks and did not notice any rubbing or my feet hurting or feeling tired at all. And my back, hips and knees felt great at the end of the day. I hope Brooks provides some of the other colors for the GTS version of this shoe that they offer for the neutral version. I will definitely be back for more.

This is my first pair of glycerin GTS shoes. I was previously running in the Hyperion GTS. Since the hyperion are no longer available in GTS I switch and am not loving the Glycerin but also not hating them. I appreciate the padded heal cup and tongue. But man, do I miss the feeling of the Hyperion sole. They were like running on a could. These are more like running on sponges...

Great shoe for healthcare and running!

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have enjoyed all of the features of the shoe. I like to run on the road and a lot of of times I have sore knees, I haven’t had that with these shoes. I also worked 10 to 12 hour days on my feet. I’ve tried these shoes at work on the hospital floor and they’ve prevented pain in my hips and knees. I would rate these shoes five stars they’re comfortable, they have plenty of room for my Toe-box which is wide, and they look cute.

Bulky

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I pre-ordered these because my favorite shoe, Brooks Hyperion 2 GTS, is discontinued. These don't come close to measuring up :( First, they have a bulky sole. The only saving grace is that the sole does cushion nicely. I have plantar fasciitis and I like that the insole is removable. I sized up to a 6.5, as usual for this brand, but my big toe still touches the front of the shoes. I'm thankful that Brooks still makes the GTS line and I appreciate that they have this one style of GTS that has a shock absorbing sole. But it falls remarkably short of being the comfortable shoe that the Hyperion 2 GTS was. Why do you change what works? I would love to see a shoe company come out with a line of shoes that work for people with foot issues like mine, i.e. overpronation and heel pain, and not take it away a year later, leaving customers to search for any leftover pairs from online sellers.

No Cushion

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

I don’t typically leave reviews but thought it was warranted for this shoe. The GTS 22 converted me to a Brooks fan after years of ASICS loyalty due to the support and cushion it provided. The 23 is so stiff and uncomfortable from the first wear. I gave them a fair shot and tried to break them in/did a few short distance runs in them hoping they’d loosen up and bit and soften out but that didn’t happen. Unfortunately have to return and re-ordered the 22.

Disappointed

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

I was highly anticipating the women’s Glycerin GTS 23. I was so disappointed to read that the midsole drop has changed from 10mm to 8mm. Why? Many of us with foot problems need a 10mm midsole drop with the cushioning and support of the Glycerin.

Like the GTS 22 way better

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

I absolutely loved the GTS 22. They were so cushioned. The 23 are not even close. I was so sorry when I couldn't find the 22 anymore. The 22 were the best shoes I have owned. Not so much for the 23.

NOPE.

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

WHAT DID YOU DO?! The 22’s were absolutely wonderful. I took this new pair of 23’s out of the box and put them on, and they’re as stiff as a board! They feel like they have zero cushioning compared to the 22’s. I’m super disappointed in whoever approved this lack of cushioning. The new Adrenalines have more cushioning than these. Looks like I’ll either have to stock up on the 22’s or go back to Adrenalines for a year. Please fix this for the 24’s.

Horrible Color Options

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Glycerin GTS shoes but what is going on with these colors? Boring or PINK are the only options?? I hope there is another release soon with different colors. Until then, I will stay in my 22's. If they release better colors, I will happily change my review to 5 stars.

Better colors please!

Originally posted on brooksrunning.com

I love the Glycerin’s, but for the love of God pleeeease come up with some better color options for the women’s shoes! I understand that everyone’s preferences are different. Personally, I hate pink. That leaves me with ONE option of boring black/white bc every other version has some shade of pink on it. Just bc they’re women’s shoes does not mean we all want pink! Give me any other fun colors! And make them available in wide!
