Not at all as expected! More like chino material and certainly would not have reached school uniform standards at our school - very disappointing from M&S who normally get uniform spot on but not on this occasion - think chinos as opposed to suit trousers but i8n a school skirt??? Returned for refund snd had to find alternative shop as this was the only grey straight skirt M&S were showing

Needs to be ironed a lot, otherwise great skirt, comfortable and well designed.

Big plus it is made of cotton, as i avoid synthetics for health and sustainability reasons. But the design is a bit of a pickle, not suitable for primary pupils and carpet time. It should be wider at the bottom and possibly pleated. Hence the rating. It could be made of cotton poplin for a light non crease version too. Best of luck!

I bought these skirts as we had difficulty finding the right ones for school. I thought these would be of good quality. They are an awful fit, they crease very easily and already I have thrown both of them in the bin as the seems have split. Very disappointed. A complete waste of money.

I found this skirt is not stretchy at all and its very tight fit. Soft pleasant material but creases up a lot.

This skirt is not appropriate for school in my opinion, the material is so still and has a shine to it which makes it look more like a work/office pencil skirt.

Fabric is what I expected from 100% cotton, and looks good (may revise my judgement after wear if we experience the same ripping as other reviewers). But why no pockets? The similar boys' shorts have them, and are cheaper despite using more fabric and being more complicated to stitch. Give girls pockets please, M&S!

Absolutely huge. Nothing like the picture. Definitely would not reccomend to anyone. Complete waste of money. And will be sending ot back.

Soft fabric but I returned this as don’t really want a split in the skirt - thought from the picture it was a pleat.
