Beautiful and comfortable!
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shoes for my daughter as her first pair of Brooks for her first job as a new nurse. She absolutely loves them—the design, the fit, and how comfortable they are during her 12-hour shifts. Seeing how much she liked them, I ended up buying a pair for myself too!

Best hiking shoe ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are the most comfortable hiking shoes I’ve ever owned. I always wear size 8 in Brooks. These seem a bit bigger but I decided to keep them and they are perfect! My feet don’t crunch into the toe box when going down hill on steep trails. They have the perfect amount of traction and they are light! I love them so much, I ordered another pair in a different color so I can alternate every day. Thank you!

The inside sole was hard, not a lot of give to them.

Happy with these shoes for dirt trails
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
Great shoes! I normally have issues with shoes rubbing and giving me blisters but no issues with these. I’ve used them for neighborhood walks (dirt roads) and trail runs.

Looks great, functionality so so
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Looks - flawless Pros- good traction and my feet aren’t too sore at the end Cons- the way they lace they just let dirt and rocks in. No attachment for gaiter in the front so I used my lace and still had a shoe full of dirt. Other than that. A mid level trail shoe from brooks. I love the looks.

Perfect Running

The ghost trail is quite comfortable while running on concrete and asphalt. It keeps my feet warm during the winter 🥶 runs. I am looking forward to purchasing another.

Good road/trail shoe
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the concept of this shoe as most of my runs are 50/50 road and trail. Pros: grip is great! I have taken on technical trails, loose gravel, rocks, they have performed wonderfully! The cushioning is perfect, providing comfort with no sacrifice of stability. Style - my 10yo daughter said “finally you chose a shoe that looks cool!” Cons: I’m not a fan of the upper. I am disappointed there is not a gusseted tongue. I have to physically be sure the tongue is placed more medially when lacing up. First run over 60min I started to get pressure point pain from the grommets at the medial side. This hasn’t been an issue since paying attention to tongue position and breaking in a little more. I also love the serrated laces on my catamounts and hyperions. I thought the normal smooth laces were a thing of the past. Overall, I prefer the catamounts, but I’ll wear these until they’re worn out.

Different than regular Ghost shoe

I always get a size 7 in my other ghost sneakers but this pair didn’t fit the same. A bit larger so I had to put another insert inside to make them fit. I like the color.

Buyer beware
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
These are the most uncomfortable sneakers I have ever had on my feet. The laces are so thin, which may sound like a minor issue, but they detract from the appearance because they are so obviously stringy. The shoe is paler than in photo..almost off white. They rub everywhere around my ankles. Needless to say , I would have returned them immediately if I had been able to. Since I couldn’t, I gave them away after one brief wearing.

It’s comfortable and good on grass and turf. There needs to be a goretex version for wet turf.

Perfection for far from perfect feet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] FINALLY a shoe I don’t have to send back. I have flat feet, and a major bunion on my right foot. I love to hike and am very active.. so need something comfortable, supportive and grippy. These check the box on all of those. I ordered the wide version of my usual size. Completely expecting to be disappointed and have to send them back like the past 12 pairs I’ve tried from various highly rated companies. The toe box is amazing and the rest of the shoe fits securely. I am impressed by the arch support. And they have more cushion that my Cascadias. The color is lighter than shown, more of a grey and pale pink. But I am so relieved to have this pair!

Wow! So glad I tried this shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really pleased with this shoe. I work them for travel over the holidays the day after receiving them to Grand Cayman and then Arizona. From the first time I put it on, no issues rubs or pain (even with a bunionette on my right foot). As I wore them they got better. Slim orthotic inserts fit well. From walking the beach to hiking in Arizona trails (Tonto bridge, Pima Canyon), they performed. The 8mm drop was key giving enough achilles/calf support while still supporting the forefoot. Was the right balance of cushion and support and traction was excellent for a light breathable shoe. I have had good experience with the Ghost over the years and the new models like the Ghost Max have helpful options (the Ghost Max with lower heel to toe drop than regular Ghost brought me back to the Ghost), so I am so glad I tried for the Ghost Trail. I had the Coconut rose color and the neutral colors were perfect for casual and trail wear.

Another Ghost model that doesn't work for me.
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been wearing Brooks Ghost for 5 years, the 13, 14 and 15 (two pair). I have not had any luck with the Ghost 16, 17, and now the Trail. They just do not seem to fit the same. I ended up returning the Ghost Trail because my heels felt like they were slipping and the toe box just felt a bit wide and... weird? I was hoping to use these on the icy, snowy paved trails in the forest preserve (Chicagoland), and the tread seemed promising, but I just couldn't get past the fit to even give them a try outside.

Completely disappointed

Color is deceiving The poppy is a very light grey not dark grey or black very disappointed I bought two pairs, I've always worn Ghost. I would give them two stars for comfort again so disappointed. Looking for a new brand. A shoe that's consistent or better not worse every year. and please don't like the scripted reply from the company that you give every customer when they are disappointed with shoe.

I am so happy I did! Very comfortable shoe for 6-12 miles outdoors. They are very comfortable and supportive. I plan to try some longer runs in them soon. mile distances outdoors. Good but not great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered the wide yet they still hurt my feet. Also where they lace up at the top is very scratchy but the traction is very good on the trails!
