[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a die-hard fan of Brooks Running shoes. I’ve loved the Ghost for road running and the Cascadia for trails, so I was really excited when the Ghost Trail came out. The shoes are beautifully designed and look great, but in terms of performance, they fall a bit short for me. They’re not as comfortable as the Ghost road shoes, and they don’t feel as stable as the Cascadia on desert trails in Arizona (my normal trail running surfaces) where footing can be uneven, which makes sense, since they’re advertised for “light trails.” For context, I have low arches and a wider foot, so stability and support matter a lot for me. I really wish I could keep them because they’re so pretty, but I need something a bit more rugged. So, it’s back to the Cascadia for me.

Fit and talk about being 80% waterproof
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Shoe fit is perfect. Very comfortable for all day walking and hiking. The Waterproof is not true. It’s more like water resistant. But the water still goes through the shoe to your socks. Needs to be a little bit better on this. That’s the only reason I gave it a 3 is because it’s not waterproof. Other than that it’s a good shoe. I would buy it again.

Love!!

I looove these shoes! The limited edition onyx color is so perfect. Please keeping making shoes with neutral colors!! I have purchased brooks shoes years ago and absolutely loved them but never felt excited about purchasing again due to the usual issue with women’s shoes: pink or purple! So obsessed with the color and the comfort while working on my feet all day.

A lightweight sturdy shoe for all terrains

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an elderly walker and I love the balance it gives me whether I'm in the woods or on road. The light weight is a plus. Comfortable for long distances and time; that is my feet don't get tired. the only downside is the laces tend to loosen.

Good if you are used to trail shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I brought two pairs of this show - light blue and black. The light blue feel loose and the black feel tight. It must be the color. After wearing the light blue, i decided to return the black because my hip started to hurt. I think trail shoes are stiff compared to running shoes. Think twice about these if you are not used to trail shoes. I made a mistake buying these.

Not impressed

These shoes are not for me. I dont understand the enlarged heel bumper, i dont like like pointed toe area. None of my other Brooks shoes have such a pointed toe. The lacing was sparcer than other shoes I’ve had and the last eyelet was hard to thread. They felt like they were a half size too large. How do i return these shoes ?

I love its wider toe box, cushion and easy transfer from road to trail and back again. Ill be getting a second pair Im sure!

Wondering why with Size??
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my brooks, but I have trouble finding size "wide" in any colors I like except for Black. Even in stores and they can't order them for me. Wondering why not in 8.5 wide????

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The size is way bigger than the original Ghost 17. The support is not as soft as the Ghost, I believe that after few uses the shoes is hard and not give balance and support on my feet. I have been contemplating if I will return the shoes or give it more time.

Great shoe. Just seems like it could be a little softer. Love the support for my flat feet and how it’s easy to slip on.

If You Like the Ghost Road Shoes You'll Like The Ghost Trail
Originally posted on brooksrunning.com
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered these in part because I am an avid fan of the Ghost road shoes. These are a tad longer and have an overall roomier feel throughout the top of the foot compared to the road versions (many could probably get away with ordering a 1/2 size smaller) but I don't really mind the extra room. With a thicker pair of socks you can certainly make them a bit more snug. I used these for a trail race and they worked marvelously! Just the right amount of tread I needed and a familiar shoe feel.
