Sarah Lafarge

Sarah Lafarge has over two decades of editorial experience, firstly on print publications and latterly on digital platforms. After graduating from the London College of Fashion with a degree in fashion journalism, she spent four years at Bauer Media as a fashion assistant, assisting fashion editors on shoots and writing fashion content. Sarah then moved to Hearst Magazines as a fashion editor on Best magazine. She wrote, edited, and styled fashion editorial, working both in London and on location across Europe and Africa.

Sarah then moved into parenting editorial, working for four years as Shopping Editor on both Mother & Baby and Pregnancy & Birth magazines. Here she styled the magazine covers and fashion editorial, wrote and commissioned features on beauty and home plus organised product testing on baby gear such as pushchairs and car seats. During this time the Mother & Baby website was launched, so Sarah’s role was across both print and digital platforms.

After a period of freelancing, Sarah moved to Netmums as Consumer Editor to lead on the launch of Netmums Reviews: a new shopping platform. Here she wrote and commissioned content, including articles, videos and product reviews on all aspects of parenting and baby, plus fashion, beauty and interiors content. During her time at Netmums she was a judge on the annual Product of the Year awards, which focus on product innovation in the consumer goods space.

Sarah arrived at M&S in 2022 and brings a wealth of experience from her varied career. Her strengths lie in creating inspiring yet practical content, whether talking about interiors trends or the latest heel height, aiding the reader to find the perfect product for them. When she’s not writing, Sarah enjoys travelling, reading, swimming, yoga, making things and attempting to keep everything alive in her garden in leafy south-west London.
