Classic day dress

I like this dress it fits well and the material doesn’t crease. It’s perfect for day time. I would have given it 5 stars but it should have 2 lengths , regular and longer. Also, they don’t specify what the longer lengths are if they do offer more than one length.

Dress fabric is a good weight and hangs well but I returned it for a number of reasons. Sleeves far too long, they came to past the tops of my fingers. Round neck and check design made my frontage look huge, please, please, please more v-necked clothes! Pattern of the check came down in a diagonal pattern on the front of the skirt and drew the eye to that area. This style of dress cries out for pockets but of course there weren't any

Winter check dress

This dress is ideal for wearing in the winter months as it is made from a thick material. The material is soft and flexible and so feels very comfortable to wear. There is a zip at the back however I managed to pop it on without unzipping it. The pattern matches well at the seams. I teamed the outfit up with 100 denier black tights and black shoes. I have not washed the dress yet. I plan to wear the dress in the daytime but I think it would make a smart work dress, interview etc.

I was surprised by the quality of this dress and how well the pattern in the fabric was matched in the garment. Unfortunately, being 5ft 9in and a 30g chest size, the dress just did not suit my shape and it was too short. I would urge others to try it as I can imagine it would suit someone of a smaller build and height.

Liked this in store but bought online to get 20% discount The big problem with this dress was the zip, as it was pulled up it would get stuck where the seams met across the middle. I didn’t feel that it would last very long before it jammed and broke the zip

I love the pattern and design of the dress. It fits true to size. I only wish it had been 2-3 inches longer as it rides up when you've been sitting down. But it's very warm, and ideal for winter.

Bought this for an interview and got the job. I was unsure my husband suggested this dress. Thought it might be frumpy but it's great on and very easy to wear. Not washed it yet so can't comment True to size. I wore it with thick tights and boots

The dress is a little on the small side as others have commented. I normally wear a size 16 but bought an 18 and this was a good choice as it fits well. The fit and flare style is flattering. The fit is close in the body but the stretch material means it is comfy and unrestrictive. The flare over the hips and into the skirt is great and allows the dress to move well. I love it. I wasn’t sure of the design of the fabric when I first saw it but it grew on me every time i saw it. Now I’m glad I bought it.

This dress has all the makings of being a classic. Lovely fabric, matched pattern , etc. Unfortunately, the waistline is positioned far too high, which is very obvious when worn and which ruins the overall shape . Also, coming up at barely knee-length ( I am 5’6’ ) , it can hardly be described as a midi ( unless the terminology has changed with time ). I fully agree with the other reviewer who suggested that the term ‘midi’ should refer to a mid-calf length. In that form, it would no doubt have looked wonderful with boots. I would have loved to buy this dress in both colourways but sadly had to leave them in the store.

Fitted me very well, I tend to be an average size 14 in most brands. The length was just on my knee, I'm 5 feet 6".Very nice warm quality material, quite heavy. The sleeves were a little long though.I did return this one though as the colour just didn't suit me.

Bit disappointed with the dress. Seems a bit big for a size ten, the arms are definitely too big and I don’t have skinny arms! I’m afraid it’s going back

Contrary to others I found this dress on the small side, also the neck was too high for me, this is my neck's fault of course, I will try size up because I like the fabric and the cut, the flare has nice movement and the length is good, I am 5'7 and it is on the knee for me.

I ordered the petite and regular git. I didn't realize that the regular was a midi dress when ordered. The material is excellent quality. The dress was longer than my full length coat.The fit on me was big and sleeves were almost covering my hands.i chose the petite in the same style but not the midi legth.. looking forward to wearing it with black tights and pumps.

I bought two or three of these dresses last year in various colours and was glad to see new versions this year as I find this Fit and Flare style very flattering to wear. The grey one is elegant and understated and will look good with opaque black tights and black heels.
