Best of British Leather Chelsea Ankle Boots

Good quality well made boots, lovely colour. A little bit on the narrow side, but will give with wear. Leather all over, really look smart.

Had my eyes on them for a while... having owned a pair of brogues from the original maker, I was quite confident in the quality of these. I wasn't disappointed! I had some grippy soles applied on these as soon as I got them, and i'm now looking forward to many years of use out of these as the soles and heels are renewable.

I ended up buying two pairs as the size 6 was a bit narrow - the 7s fit beautifully! and look really classy. The reason for a low score is the quality of the 6s - they were stained, scuffed and scratched when I took them out of the box! For £185 I would have expected better quality control (finding that they are now reduced by 20% hasn't helped either!) Please, M & S, make sure that your top of the (price) range is properly checked before sending to customers.

Wow, wow and wow! These boots are absolutely drop dead gorgeous. They are excellently crafted, look stunning, are incredibly comfortable and I believe, will wear really well over time. The pictures or description do not do them justice. Once I got them I immediately fell in love with them. As described they are 100% leather and the colour is very much a classic tan. The style will not date. They are priced fairly competitively given the successful mix of colour, leather composition and style and taking into account similar styles etc in other high end stores would be at least twice this price. They look fantastic with casual jeans and trousers as well as with smarter outfits including some skirts and dresses. I believe Marks and Spencer have got it absolutely bang on with these - they are already a wardrobe staple - and will pay for themselves over the years. I love them.
