Great pan - minor drawback

Originally posted on prestige.co.uk

An excellent pan, good quality and convenient size. My only (minor) gripe is that most chefs I know clear the "stirring implement" (for example a metal handled plastic spatula or spoon) by banging the implement on the edge of the pan and we are specifically told not to do that - presumably because it would damage the non-stick coating which runs right up to the lip of the pan. Maybe a better design would be to stop the coating just below the rim. Wooden spoons are not always suitable and silicone spatulas "bounce" rather than clear the food.
