4 Tier Elegant Wedding Cake - Sponge (Serves 190) Last order date 26th March

I purchased this wedding cake for my wedding. The presentation was outstanding, carefully boxed for transportation to the venue and once decorated looked lovely. There was ample amount to ensure all our guests had at least one slice. However the downside to the cake was that there was way too much icing. There was two layers of extremely thick icing which made the cake very sickly. It was slightly embarrassing when guests after the wedding commented on that and it was the only item of food that let us down. The actual sponge was nice however i feel that the cake although looked great did not match up to the usual excellent marks and spencers quality.

This was bought for my wedding and was bought on the Marks and Spencer website, I must say when I collected in store I was surprised at how lovely it was! I'm so pleased with it and it was very tasty too!!!! 4 tiers was plenty for 170 guests with some leftovers! Definitely recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing.

This wedding cake is amazing value for money the sponge and icing are the best I've ever tasted and even after 1 week still tasted perfect, at almost 9 kilograms it's a lot of cake!! Comes complete with ribbon and dowels to stack and well boxes for transporting to the venue.

Looks great, tasted fantastic !! Would definitely recommend, excellent value for money, looks and tastes far more expensive than it was

I ordered this for my wedding which was easy to order and could choose a day i wanted to pick it up from my local store. It was split into 2 large boxes and packaged well. Everyone commented on the cake saying how good it looked and tasted. If kept covered it does last longer than the best before date which is always good. Would recommend this to anyone who wants a nice 4 tier elegant cake that doesnt cost a bomb. Many thanks Marks and Spencer

I normally bake my own wedding cakes but due to unforeseen circumstances I rather reluctantly had to order this from marks. It was expensive for layers of sponge but it was worth it in every way. Can I find a critism, perhaps more attention to detail re levelling cake caused me a slight problem as I had an intricate balancing act to do but on reflection that was only down to how finished design of the cake was to look. Overall very happy and if needed again wouldn't hesitate to use again. Packaging brilliant and and quality up to marks high standard

can't fault anything about this cake from the ordering on the internet to delivery to the store. The cake looked and tasted fantastic.

Having shopped around and decided we were not prepared to spend hundreds on a cake we chose to cut a few corners with this one. In fact it was far from cutting corners- easy to assemble, looked fantastic and tasted great.The variety of flavours suits all pallets which is handy too !! Would not hesitate to recommend.

What a fantastic cake. I spent hours searching and trying to find a Victoria/vanilla sponge cake that did not contain marzipan, due to a strong personal dislike of the stuff, and based on the helpful reviews of this cake and the description from M&S, I took a punt and ordered this one. (M&S, I would recommend that you add clearly to the description of this product that this does not contain marzipan, as it was a little confusing when reading the descriptions and reviews of other similar products in the range, which seem to contain marzipan, even on some sponge cakes, both on-line and in the catalogue.) I was absolutely delighted with this cake. The sponge was fantastic, light and moist and it kept excellently for several days. The buttercream filling and the icing were very tasty and not overwhelming. It presented beautifully and assembled easily. M&S were, as one would expect, super to deal with .The cake was easy to order and to collect.

This cake is wonderful, I had it all in sponge as I don't like fruit but it tasted so fresh like it had just come out the oven. I had so many compliments over it the taste, presentation... Just Devine!!! Highly recommended

Marks and Spencers was not my first choice when it came to selecting my cake for my dream wedding. Like many brides I went to a professional cake maker and came up with a very personal and bespoke design. Unfortunately, the lady who was making my wedding cake, cancelled on me 4 weeks before my big day. I was devstated and needed a cake, quick! I browsed the M&S website and was pleasantly surprised by not only the designs but also the prices. The cake was simple and classy and completely elegant. The sponge was moist and the buttercream was lovely. My only criticism, and this realy is minor, is that the icing was ever so slightly too thick. However, the cake went down like a treat, all the guest commented on how beautiful it looked and how wonderful it tasted. I believe it was fate that my original cake lady cancelled on us and I was destined to end up with this M&S cake. I was so pleased with it and would highly recommend it.

We had the four tiers and it stacked beautifully and tasted as good as it looked.
