I bought a case of 6 with 25% off this month and took a bottle to a drinks party where a number of people commented on the wine. I subsequently opened a bottle to try at home and found it to be extremely quaffable. Lovely soft red with bags of depth and flavour. I will certainly try this wine again.

This was recommended to me by a Portuguese friend and it has proved excellent as an accompaniment for roasts, strong cheese and any other dishes that need to be balanced by a powerful wine. It has a slight roughness similar to many classic Italian wines, which gives the 'hand made' feel, unlike the blandness of many mass produced wines. A treat from the Duoro.
