Beautiful skirt

This is a fabulous skirt if you like floaty, floral skirts. Lined full length, much better than all the weirdly half-lined skirts that seem to be around. Most people would probably not wear for work, but great for coffee out, or dinner. I love it, the floral pattern contains at least five different colours to which you could match your top, plus, of course, the black background so you could wear a more dressy black top to dress it up. Highly recommend.

I have looked at the skirt in store many times so when I saw it was in the sale I bought it on line. Tried it on, but oh dear! The extra 'tiers' (bits of floaty material attached) were positioned right on the widest part of my posterior, and made it appear even bigger than it actually is. Same at the front, attached just where your stomach would be! Looked about 5 months pregnant (am definitely not) so returned.

I'm 5'4" and nearest to a size 20 according to the M&S size chart. I've previously had skirts from M&S and have usually had to size down two sizes so I purchased a 16 and 36" in length. Unfortunately, I still need a smaller sized waist as the 16 is two inches too big causing the skirt to drop to my hips and then it's too long. The hips fit so I think a 14 would be too tight in that area. It's a shame as it's a lovely skirt, a bit of smooth elastic in the waistband would have allowed for slight variations within sizes. I may see if it's possible for someone more experienced in alteration to do that; I've used a safety pin in the past!

Impulse buy, seen online, liked look of it and ordered it. Really loved it when I got it. Wear it with black tops; best with long-sleeved crochet type M&S top bought some years ago. This skirt can be dressed up or down, depending how you want to wear it. Really useful, really pretty, really comfortable, always feel good wearing it.

I am 75 and when I first ordered this skirt and tried it on I thought that it was more a style for a younger person - so I returned it. But i loved the material and the ditsy pattern and colours so I ordered it again - because even a 75 (years young) person can have a bit of frivolity in their life.

Love this skirt, but unfortunately it just wasn't any good for me. I am size 20 and it just seemed to really emphasize my hips. The tiers were just in the wrong place for me. Lovely material.

Colorful, summery chiffon; large waist

I really loved the colorful print, the filmy, summery chiffon-style fabric, and the overall look and shape. It seemed quite generous around the waist, so I could easily go down a size. However, I'm 5ft 3in and found the 36in length just a tad too long. Sometimes you can turn the hem up, or roll the waistband over, but the style of this skirt doesn't make that very easy. Am so disappointed, as this looked great otherwise. Guess I just need to work out how to grow another few inches :(

Received loads of compliments wearing this. Nice material which hangs well. Quite large on the waist, I had to go down a size. Would have liked to buy the ivory stripe one in the same style, but as usual with really nice stuff M&S sell out and don't replace.

I love this skirt: long, floaty and makes me feel good. The only niggle is the way the ruffle bit sort of stops halfway across at the back, but I can live with that. My mum says it moves beautifully when I walk!

a useful skirt

A pleasant pattern and fabric, perhaps not as slimming as I would like, I felt the skirt flips out a little at the hips, but it will be handy for trips out maybe or a longer journey in hot weather. I'll wear for work too once the weather warms a little more.

Idea good but in my opinion could have been better. Bought 2 in size 12 but in different lengths, waists turned out to be very different. However, returned both because I didn't like how the tiers were added - not very flattering.

I love this skirt. It's very flattering and I bought a size smaller than I would buy trousers (although I am pear shaped). The only thing I don;t like about it is it creates a lot of static and the underskirt sticks to my legs. It doesn't show though due to the floaty over-layers.

Such a pretty skirt: fell to the right length, swished beautifully, but...I couldn't fasten it in my usual size 16. Nowhere near - zip wouldn't close, let alone the waistband button. Such a shame. Have never bought anything in size 18, so didn't want to go there; as I type, I'm wearing my regular size 16 M&S jeans with plenty of comfort room, so think there must be a sizing problem with this particular item. Got a quick refund.
