The Harry Blouse

Looks great once on. Very flattering. Impossible to do buttons up at back without nimble fingered help though. Lost my patience when I was undressing and a button was yanked off in the process. Unless you have a dresser or stylist on hand like Alexa to help you out -avoid. Or maybe I'm just too big boned...

I loved this blouse from the moment I saw it and knew I had to own it! The dusky pink has a very vintage feel to it, as well as the obvious 80's ruffling - although it somehow feels modern and fresh at the same time. Having a generous bust I sized up and am happy with the blouse although this does rather exaggerate the ruffle too....I just love it too much to care! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is thinking about purchasing - very versatile piece.

Being a busy working mum it's vital to wear clothes that are comfortable, practical and look smart. This shirt ticks all those boxes and is great to dress up or down. I preferred the bigger size on me as it gave me more movement on the arms which is vital when your 20 month old is tired and wanting cuddles with mummy. I'm normally an 8 in tops but opted for the 10. My only critic would be the buttons at the back, you really need someone on hand to do them up and undo them, unless you don't mind breaking a few nails in the process. Would highly recommend this shirt, it's a timeless classic that you'll be wearing for years to come.

Was expecting the blouse to be small so ordered a size bigger, but even that didn't fit!! I think rather than spending huge amounts of money on advertising campaigns M&S should sort out basics like proper sizing. Disappointing as I liked the actual design of the blouse

I loved this blouse and it's a lovely pink - very on trend - only quibble is that the sleeves are very tight/short. Otherwise really like this - but wish I'd gone a size up.

I was so excited to see the Archive by Alexa range and even more so when I saw the pink Harry Blouse.I had a dress just like this in the 80's and couldn't wait to try this one on. Went to try it on this morning and couldn't even undo the buttons at the back as the loops are so tight I didn't want to break them. I see others have made the same comment. On a garment of this price I really feel someone should have checked this out. I certainly wouldn't be able to put this on and fasten it or take it off on my own without help. That's if I could actually get it on in the first place. Come on M & S - this is a fabulous new range which, for the first time in years, is one I can relate to - get this sorted!

Looks fab my only criticism is that the buttons have elastic loops which are incredibly difficult to fasten / unfasten. I love the style & fit of the blouse .

I was super excited to receive this blouse and it was even more lovely in real life than it looks in photographs. The colour is a slightly peachy tone of pink, not a true pink but I prefer this shade. The sleeves are quite tight but the quality cotton fabric is soft, so gives when you wear it. The cuffs, collar and button neck detailing are stunning and it has a very victorian feel when you dress in it. The length is quite short which makes it feel modern. It looks great over skinny jeans and tucked in an A-line denim skirt. I will get a lot of wear out of this blouse and feel really stylish in it. I love that it doesn't button down the front and slips on over the head without having to undo all the buttons. It feels very vintage but also very ''Now''.

Great style at a great price. Although fit is reather small so need to go up a size.

I was quite excited about this top having seen all the adverts for Alexa's range in the run up to its release. This top is slightly baggier and wider on the shoulders than expected, so it's worth going down a size. The material feels like cotton sateen which is lovely, and looks great with skinny jeans. It was too baggy to be tucked into a pencil skirt and look "in proportion". Great top, I'll be wearing it all year!

Although the Harry Blouse /shirt was nice I found a size 12 came up a bit small. I wasn't entirely happy with the fit either so I'm afraid I had to send it back I was so looking forward to this blouse but having had many blouses like this in the 1980's it wasn't to my mind like them at all.I knew what I was looking for and the Harry Blouse didn't fit the bill

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this as had seen it in so many promo pics leading up to the launch. I do really like it, but have had to go 2 sizes below my actual size to find the right one. I have the dress version too and they are both nice but the main thing is the button fastenings on the back. They are impossible to do up or undo on your own. If my boyfriend wasn't it I would'nt have been able to get it off haha! It's ok quality but I feel like the buttons might not last too long as you have to fiddle with them a lot to get it on and off. Its quite thin too so in bright daylight you might need a slip or vest underneath. Style is nice though and I am happy with how it looks when on. Main advice is go 2 sizes down!

Great quality and lovely design. As a size 14/16 I bought the 16 and it fitted on the body well, however the button loops are too fiddly on the back to do up if you're on your own and the wrist cuffs are too tight and I don't have large wrists. (As an observation the button loops on the neck are smaller than the loops on the wrist). Shame I had to return as it's a lovely piece and colour but would seem the size is not in proportion.

I have reviewed the white version of this and I think the pink colour deserves comment too. I was very unsure about light pink as it does not suit all skin tones; however, top marks to whoever selected this colour. It is warm enough to suit everyone and gives the Victorian/80's look a bit of playfulness. I think this would look nice with a contrasting bright, warm, red lipstick and jeans. I am dark haired but could see this looking great on redheads and blondes.
