Cargo Tapered Leg Trousers with Belt

I ordered these trousers as they coordinated with a shirt dress I had my eye on, and as these were very much reduced in the sale, I ordered my usual size. The fabric was unfortunately made of quite limp cotton: it looked good with a sheen and luxury feel but it should have had a little stretch in them to allow for unrestricted movement. The trousers were really uncomfortable to move in.....fine to try on and look in the mirror, but not to sit or bend! I have noticed that I have been returning garments regularly this year due to stiff fabric or not enough attention to the cut. Modern styling and technical fabrics shouldn't mean uncomfortable clothes, in fact it should be the exact opposite, using elastane more and more. The biggest fitting problem I often find is skimping fabric, especially around the waist, shoulder width, upper arm and also the wrists. I would have expected M&S to use a range of fit models to capture the different body shapes within your customer base, as the fit I experience truly suggests otherwise.

I bought these cargo trousers in kakhi or do I mean khaki and they are everything I hoped they would be. I am 5ft 6 and bought 24 long and the fit is excellent and the colour is a good neutral.

My new favourite summer holiday trousers; very light, brilliant to wear on flights and cool evenings. The matching belt is a nice extra touch. (Just make sure you wash them separately the first time or at least not with something pink)...

1. Ordered these in khaki and the pockets on the back are different, on-line the model is wearing trousers with patch pockets with flaps, but the ones that arrived had jetted pockets which are not really true cargo styling. 2. I am a size 10 usually, but as others said that these came up big I also ordered a size 8. Neither pair fitted. The 10s were far too big on the waist, hips & the crutch was halfway down my thighs. The 8s fitted on the hips & crutch but the waistband was too tight. I measured the waistbands & there was a 4 inch difference between them (30" and 34" if anyone is interested) . As other reviewers have said M & S need to sort out their quality control & sizing!

This was a nice pair of trousers, super soft and nice style but the sizing is very wrong. I am normally a 10 in trousers and I ordered an 8 as reviews said runs large. It was so big on my that it dropped to my ankles!!! I ordered as second pair as the reviews said quality control is poor but while the second one I got (also size 8) was slightly smaller, it still wouldn't stay up. I really wanted to keep it but had to return due to wrong sizing.

Try and make the picture show the true colour. It arrived looking like it has been warn already.

I absolutely loved these trousers,love the colour,the style & the length but unfortunately I had to return them. They were far too tapered around the calf area which was such a shame because they were just what I was looking for. I still can't find the perfect pair of khaki trousers.

I tried on a pair of these trousers in a size 14L. They were long enough for me but were too big. I was ordered a pair size 12L on the internet (very good service). When I tried them on they were too small and not long enough.

Great with heels or flats. Lovely quality material

Lovely trousers will be very handy for the summer lovely material and fit ,however I did have to try on 3 size 8's as they all seemed to fit differently,I think M& S needs to talk to its quality control .

Really pleased with these, only slightly generous but not so that this affected the overall fit, so would order normal dress size and found them really comfortable. Bought them as a light weight trouser for Spring city break, wanted something not too heavy, versatile colour that teamed with various tops/hoodies. would definitely recommend.

About 5 years ago I lived in a pair of Indigo tencel cargo pants and regretted not buying half a dozen more. I'm delighted something similar is back on the rails and better than ever. The sizing is generous - I'm normally 12 but size 10 is a perfect fit. The material is cool and comfortable against the skin. Not too bothered about the belt as it spoils the line, unless top tucked in, but it's easy to remove. The patch pockets sit nicely on the front and I love the tapered leg and little turn up. I now have two pairs in the two available colours. How about brown, grey, navy, cream M&S?

Love the style the pockets break up the line so larger ladies look slimmer.The material is soft cool and comfortable. Found the blue ones are to size but the green requires a size larger.

I sometimes require a size 12 in M&S trousers. These are a size 10 medium & the fit is perfect everywhere. Length good with heels & could be turned up with flatter shoes. Material is nice & soft.
