Staying supremely soft wash after wash, this light duvet has a non-allergenic filling which is made from recycled plastic bottles. It’s machine washable at 50°C for added convenience. Ideal for use in spring or autumn, this 10.5 tog duvet is also great for using all year round in a centrally heated home. Endorsed by the British Allergy Foundation, this soft, light synthetic filling is scientifically proven to provide protection against dust mite allergens even when frequently washed.

Supremely un-washable!
No, I don't recommend this
I too have had problems with this duvet after washing. The duvet was beautiful before washing but after washing the filling clumped badly and would not be 'plumped up'. It also gathered into sections of the duvet and refused to redistribute leaving large areas with no filling at all! The bed looks a complete mess and the duvet does not now keep you warm all over - a complete waste of money.

Bought the Soft Touch Duvet in the sale to replace one we had for some time. I can honestly say it is not too heavy but gives comfort and warmth which I though you could only get from a much more expensive duvet. Needless to say we are very pleased with it.

Very light in weight

I bought this to replace my existing M&S 10.5 quilt that has always felt to be too heavy for me. First night on I thought that I might have made a mistake as it really felt very light in weight and quite insubstantial. I need not have worried after three weeks I am used to it and find it just as warm and rather more comfortable as its predecessor. Very strongly recommend it especially as being light it is easy to put fresh duvet covers on without having to get assistance. I bought the king size for my 5ft bed and it drapes very well indeed.

There are several things I like about this duvet. I like the fact that the filling is recycled. I like the lightweight feel of the duvet and that it is not bulky and I also like that it can be washed. I have replaced the duvets on the other beds as well so that everyone can enjoy such a comfortable duvet.

Very poor compared to previous purchase

Purchased one of these last year and was delighted with it. Not this one. Hard and certainly not soft - very thin and poor quality. If I'd purchased this from John Lewis (which of course I now wish I had), I'd be able to return it - as it's M&S, I'm stuck with it unfortunately.

So pleased I got this as a birthday present from my mum! I think it's a great buy, lovely and soft , light and warm . I got the last 5ft one that was available but I'm sure there will be more. They had sold out of the singles but I would definitely consider them for my daughters beds when they become available again. :0)

After a few chilly nights using summer duvet decided to upgrade to a warmer duvet (current winter weight one old & heavy) - wanted something light with no sneeze factor. This product seemed to fit the bill & was on offer ; positive reviews from others helped me make up my mind. Had it a few weeks & now I can't wait to snuggle up in its cosiness! Light & warm & not too difficult to manage when changing the bed. I bought king size as always use this size bedding on my standard double beds. Have not given top marks as have only purchased recently but at the moment seems like an excellent purchase.

I never would have expected recycled old bottles to be so light, soft and snuggly. Definitely the best quilt I've ever owned. The price was more than I'd normally pay, but I managed to get it on a 20% off event. It's worth every penny, I love it. It does make it more difficult to get out of bed in the morning though!
