Midi Skirts at M&S

With a stylish midi skirt in your wardrobe, you have an essential starting point for lots of outfits. The flattering length falls between the knee and the ankle, making midis versatile options to wear with everything from long boots to ballet flats. In our womenswear collection, you'll find styles from Autograph and Per Una alongside fashion favourites like Finery London and White Stuff.

Office-appropriate outfitting is simple to nail when you have a black midi skirt to hand. Pick out a sleek tailored pencil shape in this easy-to-wear tone to pair with a drapey silk blouse and slim-fitting blazer. Details like side splits and fishtail hems earn you extra style points. For a more casual – and reliably comfortable - take on work dressing, opt for an A-line with a wide waistband, generous gathers and deep side pockets.

On relaxed days, you can't beat an always-on-trend denim midi skirt. Whether you go for a straight or flared option in deep indigo or white, you get a style staple that’s easy to dress up or down. On warmer days, a naturally breathable linen design or cotton midi is your go-to - choose from neutral block colours like utility-inspired khaki or add a splash of brightness with an ombré effect.

Polka-dot midis and boldly striped skirts are eye-catching options to team with a plain white tee. When the sun shows its face, you know it's time to reach for a breezy floral midi with a traditional ditsy print or a more modern large-scale pattern in vibrant colours.
