Stainless Steel 16cm Small Saucepan

Bought for my daughter along with 18cm and 20 cm pans which were available in store.

I have had a set of M&S saucepans for nearly 30 years and they've been great. Recently I had a mishap with one of the small pans (burnt sugar!) so decided to replace with another updated M&S pan. It's shiney and bright but sadly disappointing - firstly the lid hande gets very hot so an oven glove or teatowel needed to lift it to test cooking (the old ones can be easily lifted without this type of aid) and again the pan handle gets very hot too. I've managed to clean the old one so will now keep this one as spare - what a shame.

This is an almost perfect saucepan. It's ideal for my one-person household. The one change I'd like is to have the handle a little bit shorter. I guess it's ideal if you hang your pots up, but mine have to go into very small cabinets where the handle takes a lot of space. The handle is also quite heavy, which is good for handling, but it also makes the pan unbalance if the contents are not heavy.

I was replacing a 16cm M&S pan which I had used for around 20 years because the handle was loose and unsafe. I chose this pan as it was the nearest match. I like the pan just as much as the old one except that it is somewhat deeper than I would have wished.

That’s a great product and works with induction hobs

I already have the larger size so when I needed a replacement smaller pan I decided to go for this rather than another nonstick one that would get scratched and have to be replaced in another couple of years. My only gripe is that the handle is a bit long so I have to do a bit of pan Tetris to fit them both in the cupboard!

Even heat distribution and pan feeĺs like it will last for years.

We bought a Black Aluminium 16cm Non-Stick Saucepan three months ago and it turned out to be not very good. The coating came off. I hope this pan will be good

I bought this as a replacement for a pan that held the same quantity which I burnt and haven’t been able to restore to a useable state. I’d have liked this pan to be a little wider and so less deep (as my old pan), but it has a nice weight, and cooks well on my induction hob. I like that it has a glass lid. I would’ve preferred the pan handle to be less flat, and a bit easier to grip. However, having shopped around, I think the price for a stainless steel pan like this is very competitive.

Glad to have a Stainless Steel pan. Not a fan of other non-stick pans. Have only used once so far. Washed well in dishwasher. Would recommend.

I use these saucepans all the time. They last for ages and stay looking good despite constant cooking and washing.
