Slim Fit Japanese Selvedge Stretch Jeans

Early days but jeans seem of good quality and well made. They are very good fit but have stretch for comfort.

I usually wear W34xL30, and I bought this one W36xL29 for a similar look as the W34 was too tight. They’re very comfortable and look really good.

This is a second pair of selvedge jeans I’ve bought from M&S using the Japanese denim. These are a slim fit with slight elastication in a lighter weight fabric. They are well cut and after a bit of wear are moulding to my shape nicely. The stretch does make them comfortable from the off. They look great new as the colour is excellent and will fade nicely as they age. Dressed up with smart shoes or a chunky pair of boots they are versatile for most occasions. My last pair lasted for many years and were the most comfortable jeans I’d owned but they were a heavier denim and had no stretch at all. I’m hoping this pair last as long.

These seem fine, and decent value compared to alternative Selvedge jeans. M&S menswear does seem to be consistently sized now, which makes online purchasing more reliable.

M&S are absolutely killing it with their menswear range. The selection, design and quality offers a huge range of styling options and amazing value for money. These selvedge jeans fit perfectly giving me the opportunity to wear them for both work and casually or for special occasions. Paired with smart trainers, military style boots or suede chukkas they are a wardrobe staple for 50 something doing his best to look and feel his best.

I've curated several pairs of selvedge jeans over the years. I saw these online and decided to order a pair. The Japanese denim is of excellent quality. The jeans are well made with some very nice details. The fit is also excellent. Each pair of selvedge jeans is a journey, as such I'm looking forward to seeing how these wear and ultimately fade etc. The value for money is looking like a good bargain. I have ordered a 2nd pair to tandem alongside this pair.

Great value for 'real' denim jeans compared to the purist brands. Although billed as 'stretch' the stretch material content is minor, so the sturdy character and wear qualities of the selvedge denim are retained. 12.5 oz denim makes these easier to wear and break in than the heavier 14.5oz makes. Recommended.
