Shoulder Pad Knitted Top with Wool

This is a prime example of reality not living up to the photograph. The shoulder pads were halfway down the sleeve and didn't sit properly. I bought the extra large because I wanted it to hang loosely but did not swap it for a size down because even though the shoulder pads might have worked, the actual sweater would have been too tight across the bust. Very disappointing.

I bought the yellow in my usual size. It is designed to be loose fitting. The shoulder pads made me look like an American football player so I removed them.Whether this caused the problem I dont know but the front neck line can rise up under the chin and be annoying. The colour is lovely and flattering.

The lemon is a beautiful colour and was true to size. Thought I would love the shoulder pads but felt like an American football player with them attached - no worries, they were easily removed. A very pretty and useful top.

I did not like this too. I ordered the straw colour but it was more yellow. I expected the material to be softer but the worst was the shoulder pads. They were enormous and made me look huge. I've normal shoulders but Pettit or big but these made me look like a hulk and they could be seen through the jumper. If I had kept I would have snipped them out. Not often I return to M+S but this was a huge no

I cannot rate this too highly enough. I purchased the pale straw (light yellow/buttermilk) colour tone which looks exactly as advertised. The shoulder pads elevate this too making it a versatile piece. Lovely soft material, not at all itchy. Great quality and design. Love it.

Bought this for a family do I was told I looked like an instagramer from my nieces , love it great flattering fit , shame it doesn’t come in navy or tan
