I have bought this style school trouser for my 13 year old son for three years running. They are the best trousers I have found for quality, wear and tear and style. They can be washed endlessly and still do not fade. My son is very tough on his clothes and often comes home covered in mud from playing football in the fields at break time. The trousers come up like new every time. They don't shrink if you tumble dry them. You can usually get away without ironing too. The handy adjustable waist is always a welcome bonus. My son is an average size, but still I can tighten the waist if needed. They would definitely be too big otherwise.
