Printed Slip Midi Skirt

I really like this skirt but the stitching on the hips has left weird bulges. I’m unsure about whether to return it and risk not getting a replacement or to get my needle and cotton out . This has left me rather irritated! Otherwise I liked the fact it is lined and the fabric is very nice with a bold print I wouldn’t normally chose.

Tried the skirt on instore and couldn't understand why it hung oddly, until I measured the side seams, I found one side was about 1 1/2 inches longer, also it seemed big on the hips and bulged at the sides. I then tried on a smaller size whose side seams matched and I was much happier with the fit. It seems that quality control is lacking on some items, some of the jumpers I looked at had cuffs of different widths.

Nice skirt that I can pair up with either a plain navy blouse for an evening out or a jumper for lunch. I will have to visit the shop to find anything of the colour of the pattern.

I love this skirt - it is very feminine, smooth, and looks great under a sweater of matching colour. I was attracted to it in terms of shape, and colours. My only concern is that it might not be warm enough to wear during the winter-time, but I still love the look of it and will try to find the opportunity.

Great skirt, lovely colours, will wear with boots and warm tights. Could dress up very easily.

I had my eye on this skirt for a while but so glad I finally bought it. It's a perfect fit, I'm size 12 and it sits nicely everywhere, lovely material plus there's no puckering at the side seams as mentioned in some reviews. I tried to match the gold/rust colour and found that a little difficult, the matching vest didn't suit (me) or do the skirt justice. However I found a perfect navy jumper for cooler days which looks nice with boots and will be great for winter, and a navy tee shirt for warmer days. It will be lovely for holidays too especially as I ordered on line and once collected and brought home it hadn't creased in any way, so believe it will pack nicely too. FAB-U-LOUS!!

I chose to ignore the review comments about the fit....I was wrong. The making up of the garment is poor resulting in bulges at the sides. It doesn't hang smoothly. Very disappointing , the skirt is an attempt to be on trend. There was a time when I enjoyed shopping at M&S but sadly no longer, the quality, fit and style have declined over the recent years.

Nice pattern and easy to wear but waist band larger than expected and will need smaller size.

I don’t normally wear skirts but I saw this and loved the elasticated waist and the cut.

Too big needed a smaller size. Thought the background colour was black it was dark blue, my error, liked the pattern. Very slippery making the cardigan continually rise up. Loved the pattern and colour. Wished the background had been black. I returned it.

A really lovely feel to this skirt. Cut is quite narrow which is great if you are slim. So had to return Hard to find a good midi skirt.looking at reviews they are mostly from 60 plus , so less mini and more midi.

This is a lovely skirt but why is there a bulge on the hips? I thought mine was faulty but have now read the reviews. As I really like it, I will be getting my sewing machine out and fixing it but not what I would expect to have to do for M and S and certainly not having paid quite a lot for the privilege.

I really wanted this skirt, as it's the same style as the tile print one from the Summer - which I love and have worn so much. But there is an issue with the side seams puckering at the hips, which is very noticeable. I may try a bigger size - but I shall have to look in store, and at the moment it is out of stock in my nearest store. A shame.
