Moab Speed 2 Leather Walking Boots

I have been wearing Merrells for several years now because of their fit and durability. This is my first purchase of this particular boot, the Moab Speed 2 Leather Mid Waterproof. It is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, right out of the box. I love the fit, cushioning, stability and looks.

We bought these boots for a trip to the Mighty Five National Parks. We hiked all types of terrain and the boots were fantastic.

I bought these for a hiking trip as a novice, and wanted something I could also use for rainy city commutes. These boots are exactly what I was looking for - I hiked 20 miles of rocky, snowy mountain trails and my feet never hurt, the waterproofing is excellent and my feet were never wet hiking through snow or on rainy days in the city. One caution - these are fairly low, so your ankles might get a little wet when walking for a while in the rain, but it’s worth the low profile style. I wear a 10 running shoe and a 9.5 fit perfect. I will be coming back to Merrell for all my hiking needs in the future!

Overall nice boots, good for the weather now, comfortable. A bit heavy, narrow in the front.

Got them for a hiking trip. Got caught in the rain and my feet remained dry. I'm satisfied so far.

I have generally gravitated towards Merrell hiking boots last pair I owned was the Moab Gortex due to the previous model that I really liked being discontinued. I am not impressed with the look of the Moab Speed 2 Leather that I just received. It’s like the rebath of boots as it looks like a tennis shoe masquerading as a boot. They are very comfortable but not the look I was hoping for.

I have had these for a month and love them. I am on ole Merrill Chameleon man and was sad to see that line dropped. Will check back in six months with an update.

5 days in vegas. I wore these boots from airport to transversing the Vegas strip. These boots held up in comfort and support. I was pleasantly shocked how good my feet after walking all day/night and the various activities we were into. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

The boots are lightweight and warm. The sole inserts ("floatpro") are absolutely useless, and I added Reebok waffle sole inserts to make them comfortable. The collars are very stiff and uncomfortable, and I added foam pads inside to make them bearable. I needed lightweight and warm, but at this price Merrill should supply the padding for comfort and a better removable sole. I don't think what these boots lack justifies the price.

I use these for work, indoor/outdoor, all weather extremes very light weight and comfortable being on my feet all day ... very hard on my boots hope they hold up ?

I bought these for a friend who is a gardener and is on his feet all day. He often had foot pain and sore ankles. After wearing Merrills for many years myself, I decided to gift a pair to my friends. He is in heaven, loves them and hasn't had foot pain at all since he began wearing them!

Great walking tracking boot in the forest or on the beach

great boot! works well on dusty dirt paths, the tread pattern on these boots are awesome with no rocks getting stuck in the wear pattern, super easy to clean as well with a spray bottle of soap and water with small towel. Love these boots!
